We remained poised and resolved to move forward, committed to freedom and to protecting that

This year’s Leader Rally calls the church to a similar vision, only the freedom we represent is eternal. It cannot be stolen or even swayed. Under the leadership of our Father in heaven, the freedom we have in Christ is not threatened by the uncertainty of our nation and our world. The pursuit of Jesus compels us to remain faithful and steadfast, undaunted by what we may see with our earthly eyes. Because of this, we will not abandon our mission, “So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded,” (Hebrews 10:35 NIV). Our faith IS the

While growing up, was it important to know you fit in? Did you cut your hair a certain way, wore certain clothes and even participated in certain activities that you didn’t especially like? All for the sake of saying, “Me too!”

Your friend said, “I made the team.” You said, “Me too!” Your study partner said, “I just got accepted into college!” You checked your mailbox daily while you were waiting for your acceptance letter, so that you could you say, “Me too!” It didn’t stop there. You heard, “I just got engaged!” You hoped you would one day say, “Me too!” We all want to belong and feel like we can fit in. Here at Christ Journey, we have a name for that – it’s called a Group.

Do you ever have questions about the Bible? We too. Do you ever feel stalled spiritually? We too. Do your kids drive you a little crazy? We too. Have you ever had a time when you needed a little help from others? We too. Do you like having fun? We too! No wonder we encourage everyone to go from “Me” to “We” at Christ Journey. Next time you hear someone say, “I just joined a group,” what if you could say, “Me too!” There is a way to feel like you fit in at Christ journey Church. Join a group on September 11 or 18.

FEAR NOT

Somebody has counted 365 “Fear not”s in the Bible. That’s one for every day of the year. It’s a good thing because there is no shortage of fear in the world today. In fact, the War on Terror was declared fifteen years ago this month after the September 11 attacks of 2001. And terror is still warring on us today.

Earlier in 2001 our church celebrated its 75th Anniversary year of ministry.

Now in 2016 we are celebrating our 90th year of ever expanding ministry in Jesus’ name. Hallelujah!

Our goal year after year is to improve and have a greater impact in this city that we love. In order to ready ourselves for a great year of serving, we want to organize our resources by landscaping, repurposing and refurbishing our environments. All ages are welcomed! Lunch will be provided.

How are we to do ministry in a world of fear? Our Lord told us, “In the world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

Come out and put your hands and hearts to work for our city!

O God our help in ages past, our hope for years to come; Our shelter in the stormy blast and our eternal home!
