Helping people
WEEKEND
find and follow Christ.
FRONT AND CENTER
Thank you for choosing a seat toward the front and center of the Auditorium when we come together to worship as a community. This helps your mind and heart remain engaged as others discreetly find open seating in the back once the experience has begun.
Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, we are excited to walk together with you. If you’re new, we’d like to give you a free gift, (no strings attached), just stop by a host station.

This month we’re continuing with our series, Cut It Out… enjoying more with less. Cluttered. Chaotic. Hectic. Harried. Complicated. And oh, so busy, busy, busy... Ever feel like the pace of your life is “everything. ALL THE TIME!”? A recent survey reported Florida is the #1 stressed out state in America. It’s insane. How refreshing would it be to find some breathing room? Some margin? Some white space in which to live? Our current series focuses on God’s remedy in cleaning the clutter and restoring healthy margin in our lives. To a distraught disciple who felt life coming unraveled, Jesus said, “You are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed.” Join us in our passionate pursuit of the necessary thing that truly helps you simplify.

Christ Journey’s Country Walk Campus is ON THE MOVE as we transition to become Christ Journey Kendall. Imagine what a regional campus reaching 2,000 people from all walks of life in Kendall will look like. It’s going to take prayer, leaders, time, and effort to see this become a reality. This is just the beginning. What’s your part? Would you consider being ON THE MOVE with us? There are a few ways to be a part of this journey. First, be in prayer with us as we seek to help people find and follow Christ in Kendall. Second, consider giving above and beyond your regular tithes and offerings. Already we have seen people give many different sized contributions. No amount is too small. Third, if you currently attend the Coral Gables campus but live in Kendall, pray about participating with us in your region of Miami at the Kendall campus. Your neighbors, coworkers, family and friends need to know about Jesus and Christ Journey Church is now in your back yard. Find more information at ChristJourney.org/OnTheMove.

LUCK OR LEADERSHIP? One of my favorite quotes on leadership comes from Don Shula, winningest coach in NFL history with 347 wins to his credit, including a perfect season. “Sure, luck means a lot in football… not having a good quarterback is bad luck.” As this new season begins we wish the very best luck to our Dolphins. But we know the best kind of luck is the kind that involves heartfelt preparation, thoughtful intentionality, gut-it-out discipline, hard-hitting decision making and so much more than LUCK! In a word, it involves leadership. Roman philosopher, Seneca, is credited with saying, “Luck is where preparation meets opportunity.” September 12 is our Leader Rally for all Christ Journey volunteers as we launch our new ministry season. Our volunteers are the most important ingredients in our ministry kitchen! Mark your calendar now for this special night of inspiration and encouragement in preparation for a winning season!
Coach Bill P.S. Email me your favorite leadership quotes and stories to LeaderRally@ ChristJourney.org. Maybe we’ll share yours at this year’s Leader Rally!

ON A MISSION
Mission teams spent the summer with Global Journey Partners in Ecuador on a teaching mission, Nicaragua on both Agricultural and Medical/Dental missions, and in Cuba providing pastoral training and bible school. God led the way as our teams gave of their time, talent and treasures in villages and cities far from home. Check out all the photos and the team recaps on ChristJourney.org/ Missions.
Next up for serving Glocally is our fall City Serve on September 20. Join in as we serve our local schools and after care programs. For those of you new to City Serve, this is day we roll up our sleeves, put on on work t-shirts and give back to our Greater Miami community. We serve in parks, schools, after school centers, retirement homes and more. To sign up for the September City Serve go to ChristJourney.org/CityServe.
