40
Days of Community
What would it look like for a church to come together with a united voice? What would happen to our world if we were connected in communities centered on Christ? We believe that community is powerful and that believers coming together can transform our world. On October 4th, we will begin a 40-day journey together. We’ll commit ourselves to prayer, studying of God’s Word and embracing the love of others. The early church was famous for this! “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. (Acts 2: 42-44) Come together with us for a 40-day journey towards greater community and deeper relationship in Christ! If you’d like to know more information about joining a 40-day group, visit ChristJourney.org/40days.

FAMILY Maybe you know the song by that title. Well, our 40 Days of Community initiative is designed to connect us all in this truth – that happiness grows when we do life together! During October and November we are taking a church wide excursion into community together. Our Sunday messages will be serving spiritual nourishment to feed the soul and connect the heart to help us love one another better. Then we are calling on all adults and teens in our church family to connect personally in a 40 Days of Community Group to get happy together over the next six weeks! We do life together! And the way we do it is in small group. If you are not yet in a group, don’t miss out. Contact Connect or Student ministry now and covenant with us to join the happiness journey!
BLOCK PARTY!
Grab your neighbors and friends and head on over to our annual Block Party at Christ Journey Church. Join hundreds of families from the community as we dress in non-scary costumes, enjoy games, music, raffle prizes, and great food. You can sign up to enter your car as a Trunk or Treat stop and try to win the prize for best design or just enjoy strolling with your kids from trunk to trunk gathering sweet treats. We also want to encourage you to take an opportunity to give back to the community so be sure to bring canned food for the Feed Miami collection.
