There is so much ahead! Our journeys are an experience we are invited to enter with God; paths we are challenged to walk with Jesus; transformative treks we take by faith responding to God’s grace and truth in Jesus Christ.

The story of the ancient people of God in their Exodus journey, delivered from slavery in Egypt for fulfillment of promise in the land of Canaan, has long been understood by the writers and students of the New Testament to be a picture of the spiritual experience of redemption in Christ.

In our new fall series we will Journey On together highlighting eight of the key movements; themes where the New Testament writers clearly reference the fulfillment of the Old Testament foreshadowing and promise. The October messages will take us through the first seventeen chapters of Exodus. If you’d like to read ahead, reflect upon these topics and see where they might apply in your story as you read.

Each fall our church commits to collect food for those in need in our Greater-Miami community.

We distribute thousands of Feed Miami bags to fill with tens of thousands of pounds of food for pantries and the homeless. That day you have been waiting for to do something is here!

We’ll be distributing Feed Miami bags the last week in October. Be sure to grab one and fill it! Or better yet, spearhead a collection to fill dozens of bags. You can also sign up to work a shift in November at Feed Miami Host Stations, online or come pack bags for our pantry.

CHANGE THE WORLD

FELIZ NAVIDAD! It’s not too early to let you know that “it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas,” here at Christ Journey, as we prepare for the Advent season. Just by reading this, you’re probably already having familiar and familial thoughts and feelings, as you recall special sights, sounds, tastes and smells that say, “That’s Christmas to me!” And while there is only one reason for the season, there is not just one way to celebrate His birth.

In Miami, we are so fortunate to experience influences from around the world in our own backyard, and our church has long-standing values of multi-generational and multi-cultural expression! So as we plan for a flavorful Christmas fiesta this year, you’re invited to add your sabor, your flavor, to the party by being a part of a weekend experience or our Christmas Eve celebrations.

And yes, we said party. Jesus is having a birthday, and the whole world is invited!

Christ Journey is a movement in motion, not simply a “church” in place.

Our volunteer and leader core accepted the challenge at Leader Rally to be MULTI-PLIABLE this new ministry year. As God leads us to expand our outreach through multi-site campuses, we desire to be like clay in the Potter’s hands for Him to mold and remake in the image of His Son. How will we stay pliable for God’s use? By dreaming His dream for His church, praying for His immeasurably more, moving in grace as we serve, giving as generously as we receive, and inviting others to join us in the Journey!
