Pray for our teams in Nicaragua & Ecuador this month. The Agricultural and Medical/Dental teams are serving with partners, Chris and Krista Farrington in Nicaragua. We will build a garden and offer much needed medical and dental care for the poor.

Our teaching team heads to Ecuador to work with partners, Pancho and Pity, in their school on curriculum. Please keep these teams in your prayers!

Country Walk will launch a 6-week Summer Midweek Gathering open to everyone. Join us as we study the book of Galatians, and together seek to grow on this journey.

LIFE’S HEALING CHOICES GROUP

We need your help to send 3rd – 5th grade students to Kids Kamp this year.

The cost for 3rd graders is $45 & $160 for 4th-5th grade. If you would like to make a donation above your normal giving, make your check payable to Christ Journey Church and designate it “Kids Kamp scholarship”. Donations in any amount are appreciated.

July 15 – 19 Homestead, FL Kids Kamp is a sleep-away camp at Camp Owaissa Bauer. 3rd graders will spend the day (Jul 15); cost is $45. 4th and 5th graders will camp out for three nights (Jul 16 – 19); cost is $160. At Christ Journey we celebrate

I was at a local café on a Sunday afternoon and saw this on the back of the t-shirt of one of the servers. (He didn’t mind when I asked if I could take a photo.)

I love the feeling of security that comes from knowing someone’s “got my back”.

On the other hand, it’s unnerving and disruptively disturbing to lose one’s “backbone”.

It’s disheartening to be “backstabbed”, especially by someone you have trusted.

May the days ahead be marked with our shared confidence in God and in each other as we persevere in doing His will and receiving what He has promised. “We are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved” (Hebrews 10:39).

SPIRITUAL GROWTH Our purpose is to help people find and follow Christ. Every step a person takes towards Christ-centered living is a step worth throwing a party for! Baptism is one of those steps. Each person who decides to take the plunge is making a public declaration of faith in Jesus.
