GROUPS COMMUNITY AT ITS BEST
One of the things we say around here a lot is “the church is not the building, it’s the people.” And people mean community, which is why we’re so excited about our Groups! Groups are where the church has the opportunity to “bear one another’s burdens” (Gal 6:2) in a way that a gathering of the people of God on Sunday morning just can’t. Groups are where the church has the opportunity to examine the scriptures (Acts 17:11), applying the truth of God’s word to everyday life. Groups provide the opportunity to be known by others and to be helped to grow into all God would have for us in Christ. So the question is, have you seized this opportunity yet?

God in his goodness not only saves us from something...our sin through Jesus Christ, but he saves us to something...a community of faith. Whether it’s women praying for one another in Circle of Friends or couples sharing a meal together in someone’s home, our Groups are a picture of the new community that Christ has come to establish. Groups are places of hope and healing, learning and practicing, openness and trust. As we help people find and follow Christ in Kendall, our Groups will continue to be the primary means by which we are known and we grow, and there’s always room for more!
