GROUPS COMMUNITY AT ITS BEST

You know when you you’re with some friends and someone says, “I want to grab a bite to eat!” and everyone replies, “Me Too!” Or a time when your friend was sharing a difficult situation they were going through and you were there for them? As people, we all have a longing to be understood, to be connected, to care for one another and make meaningful memories.

Where can you find that? We find that in community with others, and it’s what makes the body of Christ come alive.

PRAYER

“It never helps to worry, and it never hurts to pray.”

I am calling us to pray as the New Year begins, accepting God’s invitation to “Seek My face.” The Lord says, “If you seek me with all your heart you will find me.”

As 2017 dawns, we are into our 91st year of ministry. Please join me as I provide a verse and a prayer through our church App, for each of the 91 days from January 16 through April 16.

Listen to what the first groups were like in the Bible: All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals, and to prayer. – Acts 2:42 It’s natural to identify with people, with their joys and sorrows, to want to be there for one another and that’s exactly where Groups come in.

A group is where we can be around others, make friends and be there for each other in the good times and bad.
