Sermon Text: Numbers 1 & 6, John 14
Introduction
Discussion
Our journeys are an experience, and there is so much to this experience! In the Exodus journey God guides His people into a land of their own. Here, they would be free from bondage and free to live -- enjoying the blessings of God. The promised land was filled with resources and had enough to provide for all their needs. They were launched into a new environment and were to become an example to other people groups, who would get to see the work of God in the life of His people.
1. Share of a time you felt empowered? Why were you empowered and how did you react? 2. What role does the Bible play in your life? 3. What Bible promises do you know? (Open the Scriptures and read a few outloud with the Group.) 4. What bible promises do you rely on? Why? 5. Who are these promises made to? How do they apply to us? 6. Read John 14:12. In this passage, Jesus says that we would do even Greater things than He did. What does this mean to you? 7. How should this motivate a believer?
Application
1. How does your journey compare to the Exodus journey? 2. How can you in faith - step out into everything God has for you? What does that look like? 3. Read Galatians 5:22-26.
