ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION
The Bylaws Review Team is completing its work and will be presenting their recommended updates to the Church Articles and Bylaws in the August 21 Business Meeting at 6pm. Their proposals include title updates in pastoral positions, identification of Christ Journey Church as our operating name, the change of Personnel Committee name to Human Resources Committee, and updating Dade County to Miami-Dade County. An attendance accountability item is being proposed for committee and deacon service, as well as a request that regular Business Meetings be conducted in the sixth (Feb) and twelfth (Aug) month of the year. The Baptism and Lord’s Supper Committees are being proposed to become Baptism and Lord’s Supper Teams. And, the proposed additional change to the Church Articles is that “the Sunday School Director” title position on the Council on Ministries be updated to “another Executive Pastor” and that “Internet and computer media broadcasting” be added. Copies of the Articles and Bylaws identifying the line item placement of all proposed updates are available from Betty Lara in the Church Office.
