There are many ways to interpret Easter, but the one that remains a constant is that Jesus is the dawn of our salvation. For this reason, we celebrate our Savior!

Easter calls for a celebration of joy, love and gratitude to the one that saved us all! Let’s celebrate loudly alongside our family, friends and neighbors.

This is the day we make an even bigger deal about the greatest sacrifice in history. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, giving His life for you, then being resurrected by the power of God in heaven.

Let’s remind everyone in our city and around the world that hope is still alive in Christ! Who have you been investing in? Praying for? Now it’s time to make that invitation!

I regularly hear people say about our church, “Feels like home,” “…feels like family to me.” God has favored us with a sense of togetherness that is contagious and worth sharing!

This is Friends and Family Month at Christ Journey! With Parent Dedication and Easter, we will be celebrating God’s love with our friends and family in special ways: Praying. Blessing down. Lifting people up. Sharing God’s amazing love with all.

BAPTISM You probably have heard, “a picture is worth a thousand words,” and the Bible is full of them. Baptism is one of the strongest images of restoration in Scripture, and Romans 6:4 perfectly brings it into focus: “For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.”

Baptism is the picture of what transpires when you place your faith and trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus to save you from your sins.

Baptism intersects faith and obedience for the Christ follower. In the book of Acts, Dr. Luke recorded that thousands heard the message, believed and then were baptized.

Jesus commands us to be baptized (Matthew 28:19). It represents new life. We were one way before we met Jesus, and now we are made new.

Paul wrote that as we come out of the water, we are “putting on Christ, like putting on new clothes.”

– Galatians 3:27.

So Christ follower, if you haven’t taken the plunge, then what are you waiting for? Follow Jesus in baptism, as your Christ Journey family cheers you on!

And God does love all. Paul writes, “God wants all to be saved…” – 1 Timothy 2:4. Peter says, “God is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” – 2 Peter 3:9.

When we pray for and bring our loved ones into their Christ Journey we are full on in the will of God, and that brings fullness of joy!
