Who doesn’t love a good party? Whether it’s a baby shower, Noche Buena, a quinceañera or graduation, we love to celebrate life’s greatest moments with family, friends, food and fun. Did you know that God feels the same way?

In Luke 15:7, Jesus told his followers that “there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.” That is, there’s a celebration in heaven of epic proportions when someone finds and follows Jesus Christ!

Around here we celebrate life change, and one of the best ways to declare that Christ is alive in your heart is through baptism. Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change of heart, a declaration that what was once lost is now found! So as we baptize those who’ve expressed faith in Christ as Lord and Savior, let’s throw a party.

Join us April 16 at Bill Baggs Florida State Park for beach baptism and lots of rejoicing!

How can we share the Christ Journey with others? Every member is a missionary in the body of Christ. Every one of us has a story to share. Each of Listen. Before we speak, we listen. With our ears and our eyes. We listen to God and we listen to others. We ask questions and show concern in responding to their situations in life.

Open. Open your life. Open your heart. Open your mouth. In that order.

Show transparency and compassion. Be kind and considerate toward their needs. Befriend them.

Visualize. By faith bring your requests to God in prayer and see your loved ones responding to Christ. Expect God to answer and watch for opportunities to help others take steps toward God. Imagine them placing their bulb in the cross!

Encourage. Encourage them to come with you to church. Invite them to your group or an event. Share your enthusiasm and your faith story. Introduce them to others in your journey.
