DESCRIPTION 48-400 - Occupancy Studio Instructor: David Burns Motion blur acts as the unifying factor that connects the different spaces formulated by the program. In effect, this motion blur suggests that these spaces, be it the production studio or the offices, are constantly adapting to the project at hand. The project therefore becomes more important than the occupants themselves. The occupants, on one hand, are no different than the blur, whereas the project is no different the entirety of the image itself. To look at a production studio one has to emphasize the notion of time. The idea that movie makers posit motion blur to emphasize and create a sense of hierarchy yields this transitioning nature of the architecture.
