MODULE TWO

Weekly Foster Care 15 Community Prayer Calls

Prayer is where we begin. The needs of children and families are vast, and seeing these needs every day moves us to action. But our actions are utterly insufficient unless God multiplies them. Like the loaves and fish, we bring what little we have and trust Him to do what we cannot. Developed by the More Than Enough Community National Working Group on Prayer, this guide provides a simple framework to anchor our shared efforts in consistent, unified prayer. Adapt these practices to your local context, gather others, and ask God to do what only He can do.

FORMAT

PURPOSE Weekly community prayer calls anchor our work on behalf of children and families, rallying local collaborators around a unified vision for more than enough. Carving out a 15-minute block each week to intercede together by name for those serving and those served ensures that our collaborative actions are not merely driven by strategy and tactics, but are rooted in the power and presence of God.

Virtual prayer gatherings can be held by video conference using Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet.

RHYTHM We recommend holding online community prayer gatherings weekly.

RECOMMENDED DURATION 15 Minutes
