Hunger Relief
by CF Apps
Your Christ Birthday Offering helps one less person from going hungry.
Right now around the globe, 1 out of 9 people goes to bed hungry. This statistic represents not only a lack of basic needs but translates to compromised immune systems, educational delays—and in some cases—even death due to malnutrition. While these realities are heavy, every day throughout the year we’re a part of countless initiatives that help one less person from experiencing hunger.
This past year, because of your Christ Birthday Offering, we delivered basic needs in order to fulfill the greatest need—the hope and message of Jesus.

Delivering Hope to... a Man Named Thangavel
How a miracle van is relieving hunger and bringing healing.
After spending his life hard at work in agriculture to care for his family in India, Thangavel was sadly diagnosed with leprosy. Even sadder, his wife and family left him because of the stigma around the illness, so he no longer had anyone to care for him. As Thangavel’s leprosy got progressively worse, he was left alone feeling helpless and hopeless—until hope was delivered in the form of a van.
Through Embrace a Village’s shoe and medical van, provided by your Christ Birthday Offering, Thangavel is no longer going hungry and has now received the healing he needed to no longer live in pain. He’s also found a family through the loving staff and medical care from Embrace a Village’s hospice center, and best of all, he’s started a relationship with Jesus!
Thangavel
Did you know? This past year, your Christ Birthday Offering purchased the van that Embrace a Village uses as they travel to different villages in India providing critical supportive footwear and medical care for leprosy patients. Due to the condition of these patients, they wouldn’t otherwise be able to receive the treatment they need.
