WITH A NEW YEAR COMES NEW OPPORTUNITIES TO GET OUT ON THE TENNIS COURT AND PLAY. HERE ARE SOME OF THE MANY WAYS YOU CAN GET YOUR HITS AT THE SWISS CLUB.

CALLING ALL JUNIOR PLAYERS We encourage all junior players to participate in one of our 37 weekly classes, holiday camps, or JTTL teams.

Tennis equips you with lifelong skills that are transferable to almost any situation – commitment, confidence, teamwork, good sportsmanship and strategic thinking among them.

ATTENTION ADULTS Adult players can enjoy one of our new cardio tennis and beginners’ classes, or join in our WITS team training with a view to competing in local tournaments. ONLINE REGISTRATION Registration for all classes, private lessons and events is now available online at fortyfifteen.net. All the information you need is now at your fingertips.

RECENT EVENTS Fulfilling our promise to multiply opportunities to play, we recently organised our first quarterly tournament of the season. In addition, our U10, U14 and U16 teams participated in the SG Junior Team Tennis League. It was a great performance from the Warriors, finishing in third place!

Our adult mixed doubles tournament was a great success. Congratulations to the winners of the open category, Hiroko and Bill, and to the winners of the intermediate category, Emma and Charlie.

Congratulations are also in order for our WITS Tennis Teams, who all enjoyed a wonderful season of tennis. The A Team put in a fantastic performance to finish in third place!

INTERNATIONAL TENNIS SUCCESS Young Swiss Club Member, Phay Kai Chuen, had his first international tournament win by taking out the Under 14 Boys’ Singles Title in the Sarawak ATF (Asian Tennis Federation) Tournament in Malaysia. Kai played his way through the qualifying rounds to enter the tournament, and then proceeded to win all his main draw matches, taking out the final 0-6 7-6 (6) 6-4 in a very tight match, after saving two match points. In addition, Kai finished runner-up in the doubles. Well done to Kai on a great week in Malaysia. We look forward to seeing him go from strength to strength in the coming years.
