The Avodah Project is an 8-week spiritual leadership project led by Christ Chapel Bible Church in Fort Worth, TX, with the goal of equipping students to be marketplace missionaries. It’s pronounced a·vō·dä’, which is a Hebrew word that is used in the Bible for “serve,” “work” and “worship.” Simply put, the Avodah Project is where work and worship connect. In our culture, work and worship mean drastically different things. Biblically speaking, however, our work is designed to be an act of worship. That means our faith never detracts from our work; It fuels our work.
Students who participate in The Avodah Project will spend 8 weeks working 30 to 40 hour-per-week jobs and attending valuable workshops that will develop the skills necessary to be effective marketplace missionaries. Students will also walk alongside some incredible men and women that will be assigned as their Industry Mentor.
