MISSIONS

Dear Christ Central Church, Throughout Scripture, God calls us to remember.

“And you shall remember the whole way that the Lord your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness...” - Deuteronomy 8:2

“Remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me.” - Isaiah 46:9

“I remember the days of old; I meditate on all that you have done; I ponder the work of your hands.” - Psalm 143:5

“I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your wonders of old.” - Psalm 77:11

Each year we want to give you a picture of all the Lord did in the past year at Christ Central; not so we can glory in numbers, events, or our efforts. Rather so we can remember that the Lord is faithful.

The Annual Report is our attempt to figure out where we have come from and where God is leading us. Remembering is an action that takes us to a place of quiet, to a place of observing and listening, to a posture of gratitude for how the Lord has faithfully led us through the ups and downs.

Remembering leads us to do what is right and good, which is to give God thanks and praise.

The past year is the first year since Covid began nearly three years ago in which we have been able to function and operate without any restrictions caused by the pandemic. This past year, we have sought to understand who Christ Central is, coming out of the pandemic. There has been a loss of people caused by moving or leaving the church, and many new people have been added to our church and our area. As a church, we have been trying to get our hearts, heads, and arms around who the body of Christ is at Christ Central.

We have re-established rhythms, patterns, and avenues of ministry. But, as you will learn in this report, God has been faithful to bless Christ Central.

One of the specific areas we are intentionally trying to address is how we mature as an organization, as God has blessed us with growth. The church leadership has been hard at work during 2022 addressing areas of need, and we are excited to implement many things in 2023 that will help us thrive and flourish.

We have been praying that God would revive us, would cause Christ Central Church to come alive by His Spirit with His life, and use us to be a blessing to our city and world.

I am so thankful for each member, regular attendee, new guest, and all connected to Christ Central in any way. The church is its people; not its programs, ministries, or buildings, but its people. And I love our people, I love who God has called into this church, and I love who He is making us to be in this city for His glory!
