Vanhove Cattle Company retains the right to two successful flushes on every female in the sale, at the new owner’s convenience and the seller’s expense.

BREEDING GUARANTEE

All females are sold under the condition “safe in calf” as attested to by a licensed veterinarian and sell with no further guarantee. The ultrasound results reported are as accurate as possible. No guarantee is given that bred females will deliver a live calf.

NOTE ABOUT PREGNANCY TESTING

Careful consideration was given when selecting the cattle for the sale in reference to A.I. service. We feel that the majority of the cattle selling are safe to their A.I. date or the approximate due date that is given. Please make sure that you do not confuse A.I. service date with approximate due date. Some of the females that were only exposed to the pasture sires are given an approximate due date in correlation with the vet examination. Having this sale took a big leap of faith, but to be honest I’m extremely excited about this collaboration. We are creating an event where you can gain access to several of the MOST ELITE COW FAMILIES THE SHOW CATTLE INDUSTRY HAS EVER SEEN ALL IN ONE DAY. I kept telling myself if we do this it will have to be the most impressive lineup that Vanhove Cattle has offered. 532 was one of the first cows that came to mind, but the more I thought about it the more I wondered if I could afford to let her go. Regardless of my worries here she is, up for auction. A young Whizard cow that descends from the heart of our herd and I can promise you that she is just as impressive in person. You will idolize every aspect of this female’s build, from the tip of her nose to the end of her tail. There are no guarantees in the cattle business, but here’s one that checks all the boxes in terms of genetics and quality and the HERE I AM CALF IN HER BELLY COULD REALLY BE SOMETHING SPECIAL.

Opportunities like this don’t happen every day because cattle like this are not created very often. And when they are you don’t generally offer them for sale. We have a large group of Maternal Perfection females to sell in Sioux Falls! That isn’t because we are trying to get rid of them, it’s because we just used him so heavily! It won’t take long for you to realize the value his daughters have and are going to continue to have in maternal breeding programs. It’s because of his daughters exactly like E731 that we choose to keep using him. She is backed by generations of functional females and possesses a look like none other. We have done the hard work and got this female to the profit generating point in her career. Speaking of profit think what the Wynne In Doubt in her belly will be worth.

At Vanhove Cattle the name Adrenaline is as highly regarded as any. You won’t see many of them available for sale anymore and that’s not because we don’t have them around it’s because we don’t want to sell them. He has done as good a job as any sire we have used when it comes to building maternal goddesses that flat work any way you breed them. A393 encapsulates the ideal build of any show cattle matron. She’s ultra-long necked, ginormous bodied and sound structured. You don’t make cattle every day that have the presence of this one and we could not come up with a better mating than Here I Am to suit her phenotype.

AI: 6/28 WYNNE IN DOUBT DUE DATE: 4/6/21

I’m no artist but I know it would be difficult to draw a more picture perfect cow than 4002. This exquisite Cerveza daughter makes my mouth water every time I see her out on pasture. I truly don’t know if you can make one with a more attractive silhouette. Her OCC Legend mother was the exact same way however the extra shot of Maine in 4002’s blood resulted in more power, substance and bigger features. The Wynne In Doubt cattle gained a lot of attention this past sale season and it’s because they could be some of the most unique animals our industry has seen. Thinking about the combination that WID and 4002 could yield fascinates me.

CROSSBRED COWS LOT 9 • VANHOVE 7036 • 2017 • SIRE: MAF HOBART 441 DAM: B453 WHIZARD • AI: 5/4 BOE FAME • DUE DATE: 2/10/21 • This deep ribbed Whizard influenced female will be sure to command your attention on sale day. Her first calf was a Daddy’s Money heifer that sold for $9000 and she had a HIA steer last year that made the sale pasture. This year she is bred to the hot new, high selling bull from the 2019 Bright Lights Sale, BOE Fame. This mating will truly be something to look forward to in 2021. This female will show you what the Vanhove’s genetics are all about!.

LOT 10 • VANHOVE B494 • 2014 • SIRE: WHIZARD DAM: 399 OCC JOKER • AI: 6/12 HERE I AM • DUE DATE: 3/21/21 •

16

We don’t need to tell you how valuable the combination that the Here I Am cattle are making with these Whizard females and B494’s mating that way is only scratching the surface of what she could do for you. Cattle with this kind of roar power and shape are hard to find in this world of fancy, flat sided and good looking ones. But when you find one like B494 that combines both ends of the spectrum it’s easy to understand why we think so highly of her. Trust your intuition, because it would be our guess she is just a short couple of months away from returning your investment and probably more than once.

AI: 6/28 CASH ON DELIVERY DUE DATE: 4/6/21 RETAINING 1/2 INTEREST WITH THE OPTION TO DOUBLE DOWN TO OWN HER ENTIRETY

This Panda faced Merlin daughter is a full sister to our Super Donor 304A – the mother to Griswold’s new promotional sire Good to Go and the highly decorated market heifer the Blaine Rodgers family exhibited. If you’re searching for a female that has the “power in the blood” you couldn’t have landed in a more ideal location. Power isn’t only found in her blood though, it describes the rear 2/3rd of this freakish specimen, with those big stout bones and wide pin set. Move forward and we challenge you to find a more attractively designed head and neck in any bovine we have cataloged. Her COD will arrive early April, the perfect birth date to raise a steer that will compete at the most competitive major steer shows in the nation. Do your homework or don’t because it won’t matter with this one, you will want to be loading her on your trailer. MANY TIME CHAMPION HEIFER SHOWN BY RODGERS FAMILY

RETAINING 1/2 INTEREST WITH THE OPTION TO DOUBLE DOWN TO OWN HER ENTIRETY

When all the smoke and mirrors fade away, it’s cows like 4012 that will still be there. Her phenotype is timeless, regardless of age this cow has all the traits to raise cattle for the times. I hate to even think about letting this one go and I’m serious when I say phenotypically this would be one of my favorites in the offering. You cannot make them any bigger bodied, choke necked, or dazzling to the eye. Her Headliner dam did the hard work for us back in her day and helped put our operation on the map. Allow this daughter to do the same for your program! When that Here I Am hits the ground just be prepared for a lot of traffic in your yard.

This cow still looks like a three year old and has longevity written all over her that is topped off with a beautiful blaze face and perfect bag. If that doesn’t convince you enough to buy her then think about how good the Fair n Square calf in her belly will be.

LOT 16 • SMITH 418 • 2014

SIRE: HARD DRIVE DAM: OCC LEGEND X DRAFT PICK AI: 6/24 NEXT GENERATION PE: NO PRESSURE • LIKELY AI SAFE DUE: 3/30/20

It hurts to sell cows like this, but we have always said that we must bring the goods to town. We very rarely sell any cows, this year we feel that we are truly bringing some of the better ones to town. They told me once if it doesn’t hurt to sell a few then you aren’t putting the good ones in the sale. This one truly hurts to sell. She is massive everywhere, from her foot to her bone to her muscle and hip, she holds it all together in a real well balanced package. I’m really excited to see her Next Generation calf, if this bull breeds like he looks, when mated to cows of this quality, I think he will be around for awhile. She has sold 3 calves over the years with an average of $6,750.

He is the sire of some of the most productive show cattle mommas in the industry. So to put it simply 610D is the culmination of stacking maternal giants on top of one another. And it’s pretty evident when you visually inspect this solid black, ground sow as to why those bulls’ names have been eternally etched on the show cattle honors list. Her daughter is a feature in our bred heifer section, lot 117, who we know will gain all sorts of admirers on sale day. Take notice of the opportunity that 610D gives you to sell some of the first progeny out of the exciting Cash On Demand come the fall. Daughter sells in sale

We will be the first to admit we are super excited for these Cash on Demand sired calves, we bred him to some of our best cows and 3021 makes that list. Don’t be afraid to invest in this mature cow, the bottom side of her pedigree reads with generations of longevity.

It’s not just the blaze face of D615 that catches your eye, it’s the powerful build she graces our pastures with that intrigue all that see her. The more we think about this Adrenaline daughter the more we wonder why we are selling her and her daughter lot 106. She is only a 2016 model and hasn’t even had the opportunity to prove her immense value. However let our loss be your gain and don’t be afraid to call and let us know when her Here I Am calf is a high seller for you come this fall.

I know that next spring we are going to regret selling all of these incredible Whizard cows and B449 is a perfect example of why they are so highly sought after around the country. There is a very short list of sires that can stamp daughters with mammoth bodies, big muscles and shaggy hides like Whizard. Her build is so versatile that there is a wide range of sires that will work to her. We are giving you the opportunity to try her however you want. But if she raises a Fair n Square like we think she will I bet you are going to breed her club calf again next year.

You have a cow here that has to ability to be bred to sires on either side of the spectrum, she could make heifers just as easily as high end steers. We chose to breed her club calf this year and her extra shot of scale and length will blend perfectly with Wynne in Doubt.

I can promise you that we are as excited about this sire group as any that have ever walked the pastures in Madison, South Dakota. It’s cattle like 908 that will generate on both ends of the spectrum, from elite show heifers to high selling steers. When you evaluate her, you’ll love the way her neck ties high on her shoulder, the way her big paws hit square to the ground and the amount of true power she has. This is another heifer we should not be selling, if you pay attention to cow families you will scratch up every penny you can to buy this one. Her mother is the high selling female in the Lazy H dispersal. If you were at that sale, there was a flush of Lutton’s that would be maternal sisters to this great female that averaged $20k and another heifer sold later that year for $80k. AI: 5/15 SEXED HEIFER FUSION DUE DATE: 2/21/21

I could talk about this female for days. This yellow female is one that everybody needs to see, she screams the word donor. She has been an easy favorite of many early vistors the farm. She was purchased as a heifer calf from a good friend Farris Simon, although I have never been there we all have people in this business that we follow and admire the quality of cattle they raise and I think Farris has a keen eye and is an incredibly smart stockman. When I purchased this heifer he did not lead me astray, it pains me to sell this type and kind, but we’ve all got bills to pay. I think this female will raise one that will win a show, even if she is bred to a Balancer bull, she is that high quality.

AI: 5/31 MAY WE ALL DUE DATE: 3/9/21

This is a female that comes from one of the most potent cow families we have ever had the chance to be around in Madison. It should be fairly evident that when cattle have an outlying design like this is why we value them so highly. To top it off she shares her family name with the Gpromotional sire Good to Go and the very successful market heifer that the Blaine Rodgers family lead to purple around the nation this past year. Unlimited power and look. Impeccable structure, feet and legs. We are handing you the foundations to a highly successful venture. We know that this female is about to continue the legacy that she has been built within. All of these Daughters will maintain that high standard for their new owners. They excel in terms of mass and power, skeletal width and ruggedness of structure. Their ability to transmit these qualities on to offspring should be consistency and often. If you’re in the market to produce the chubby, powerful and eye appealing type of steers that win major shows then these two sisters need your evaluation. FULL SISTERS SELL AS LOTS 55 AND 56.

Most recently she raised the Division 1 winning steer for Cash Pratt at the 2020 American Royal. 937 would be a full sister to that steer, and it would be worth your time to find a picture of him because he looked incredible. Now let’s turn your attention to this chromed up BEAST! We aren’t offering many colored-up females this year with that being said that’s not the only thing that makes this female stand out from the crowd. The muscle pattern this heifer sports is remarkable, the back shape and expression she carries deep through her skeleton is unrivaled. You need to begin with a female like this to consistently put steers on the high sellers list, if that’s your goal, you’ve arrived at your location.

The bottom side to 921’s pedigree reads with the maternal qualities we constantly chase here in Madison. Her maternal Grandsire was a DCC Looker son who consistently improved udder quality, feet and structure. Those same traits bred on through to this granddaughter, however along the way she gained the big hair, massive bones and roar back shape that has made HIA the go to sire of recent times. She has the building blocks to raise big time livestock. Bred up early to Sub Zero, a bull that constantly proves the first calf out of heifers can be extremely valuable.

This solid black cow prospect is a heavier structured, hairy replica of what her mother is and trust me that’s nothing to dismiss. We like your odds of raising those highly competitive show steers with this one. With that being said, the % Simmentals and Maintainers (like the one in her belly) could be equally as valuable.

I know in some peoples opinion these club calf sired females aren’t maternal, but if you read these show reports it seems like to get the steers to win the majors they have to be packed with a little bit more punch on the cow side. This female packs a huge punch, I think rather you decide to mate her for steers or females she will put one in the sale pasture every year. There is a lot of consistency to the bottom side of this heifer’s pedigree, and she is backed by a cow with a very consistent producer. Let her be a consistent producer for you.

Steer momma potential here. We bred this one in hopes of raising a high selling steer calf for our pasture sale, however when 914 was born the last thing we did was complain! She has always been outstanding when comparing the muscle shape between her and her contemporaries. She carries this extreme power on a heavily designed skeleton and we know that with the way this female is bred, she will transmit this onto her offspring. You will have noticed, but just like many of the most elite females in this offering Merlin appears on the maternal side of 914 and trust me that’s exactly where you want it to be!

This female has a place in anyone’s program.

This powerhouse is a never ever one when it comes to building one with this much body, volume, shape and stoutness, yet she has all the look, profile and presence you’d ever want. You can’t help but be drawn to this black and white daughter of Fu Man Chu when you walk in the pen, but start to study her and you’ll quickly realize she’s more than a pretty face. As freakish in her skeleton as any in this catalog, the bottom side of her pedigree boasts Who Made Who and Meyer 734, two of the most prolific maternal giants in the business. We would say don’t miss her sale day, but it will be hard to not find this unique breeding piece.

He is one of the best looking herd sires to walk the Vanhove pastures, and he transmitted his incredible presence into each of the daughters you will find in Sioux Falls. We mated 9016 to May We All knowing that she will immediately raise the type of cattle our industry aims for.

LOT 176 • SMITH 169 • SPRING 2019 • SIRE: BANKROLL DAM: FU MAN CHU • AI: 4/17 MAY WE ALL • DUE DATE: 1/24/21 • This dual papered female is as well balanced as any and theoretically should have had a halter on her and in someone’s showbarn, we have always liked this one from day 1. She is out of the great Fu Man Chu cow that we purchased from Tucker and Merle Morris in Montana. If you are ever in Montana make sure to give them a call and take a peek at their cattle, I promise you won’t be disappointed. This female has a lot of quality, and remember high quality females raise high quality cattle that win high quality shows.

MATERNAL SIB TO LOT 179

In this business “hopes and dreams” are not bankable. If you demand your cows to work to a variety of sires and never miss this is a great place to invest. Lot ##’s dam, Forever Lady 643D, is quickly becoming one of the dominant donor dams in the Steck Cattle program. In 2 calf crops she is averaging over $20,000 per heifer calf and is raising not just elite Angus females but Percentage Simmental and MaineTainer’s alike. Collison’s showed a standout Style daughter from her this summer, Sullivan’s purchased a high selling Pay’s the Price daughter last fall and the Brueggeman family will be hitting the ring this winter with a knockout Maternal Made daughter. 643D is a never miss cow from a never miss cow family. Here is your chance to add a royally bred female that stems back to the immortal Lazy H Barn Forever Lady 5001 cow. Big bodied sound cow that will raise a high quality calf year after year!

Another high quality female out of the 43-2 Donor. She is well structured, remarkably built purebred Simmental and one that many will star the day of the sale. We were disappointed when she didn’t settle A.I but then got to thinking the calf in her belly will be a Foundation Simmental as well as a Maintainer, which dual papered cattle are well perceived in fall pasture sales.

LOT 181 • DORIS 947 • SPRING 2019• SIRE: FORTUNE DAM: ROUNDTABLE X BLACKBIRD PE: BRILLANCE DADDY DUE DATE: 4/7/21

This female shows just how high quality these May We All females might be. This particular female is out of the 9/37 the very best Monopoly 2/75 female ever raised. She came out of the heart of the Reimann program as an open heifer and was successfully campaigned by the Johannsen family. I think cow families are very important, I know this is 9/37 very first calf but she is a cow that you will be hearing alot out of in our program. Remember always believe in predictable genetics, and I think these genetics here are very predictable. Pay attention here.

The good looks of May We All will compliment 9033 very well.

As I said before, I really like these Blacklist females. I sold a $15,000 Garth heifer out of her mother this year. One way to definitely describe this beautiful black heifer is donor. You will see that as well when you see her on January 2.
