RETAINED BREEDING INTEREST

Vanhove Cattle Company and Doris Cattle retains the right to two successful flushes on every female in the sale, at the new owner’s convenience and the seller’s expense.

BREEDING GUARANTEE

All females are sold under the condition “safe in calf” as attested to by a licensed veterinarian and sell with no further guarantee. The ultrasound results reported are as accurate as possible. No guarantee is given that bred females will deliver a live calf.

PREGNANCY TESTS

Careful consideration was given when selecting the cattle for the sale in reference to A.I. service. We feel that the majority of the cattle selling are safe to their A.I. date or the approximate due date that is given. Please make sure that you do not confuse A.I. service date with approximate due date. Some of the females that were only exposed to the pasture sires are given an approximate due date in correlation with the vet examination. While we cannot guarantee A.I. service, we are confident that a large part of the offering is A.I. safe. Any additional pregnancy testing will be available on the sale supplement sheet.

I find it particularly impressive that a female this maternal bred can be so wide behind her blade, crisp over her loin edge, and carry her width down the seat of her pants to the surface. A coming 4-year-old that is just entering the prime of her life and ready to get to work for you.

Truly impressive specimen to look at here in 271. A High Maine female that offers so many desired traits for producing elite Maine Anjou cattle that work inside and outside of the show ring. Show winning look up front, wide from the top of her blade to her pinset, tremendously bold and soft in her rib cage, dense in the seat of her pants, and plants on remarkable bone and foot size. Mother of 271 claimed Reserve Champion honors at OYE a handful of years back, and I expect nothing more than the continuation of excellence out of her young daughter. Coming four years old, this female is ready to get to work and be the difference you’ve been searching for in your program.

If you are a frequent traveler to Madison SD in September, you will know that the mainstay of the Vanhove program is the A310 cow family.  0172 was thought by many to be the next stage of evolution in this powerful genetic line.  This young donor, in her first IVF cycle, had a 45,000 dollar high seller in 2024 sired by Here I Am.  These Monopoly cows are flat raising the kind of cattle that win at every level and the build of 0172 will compliment the leading sires of the industry in 2025. We offer here a proven young donor backed by a cow family that is drenched in consistency and quality.  These opportunities do not come around all the time.  To have the best sale, you have to offer the best.  0172 comes from deep within the heart of the Vanhove program.  We have the utmost faith in her powerful generating abilities.

We’ve talked about the Kelli Clone 75-1 to a few different sires, but here’s a solid black one out of MAB for your approval. She has that long pretty neck like most of the MABs and is super moderate with plenty of bone that matches her frame size. To me, the fact that she is smaller made opens up options to matings that will complement her feminine features and get a little bump of power from the bull side. Here’s some things you need to know about this really good Maternal Made. She is a full sister in blood to the incomparable RCC 1 Donor, and I have sold a bunch of sibs out of the Kelli Clone Donor for a lot of money, so I have no doubt that this heifer will not only continue but expand upon that tradition. As expected from the pedigree, this heifer has a little more maternal punch than her sibs. That opens up more mating options to continue to make popular Maine cattle that will win in the showring and in the pasture. This one is the real deal.

Since then, 802 has fired on all cylinders producing high selling show steers, show winners, and future donors. These Perfection daughters find themselves amongst the latter category. Incredible cattle in the way they tie a high neck onto a soft shoulder assembly. Tremendous how these females open up so much horse power behind their blade and in the seat of their pants, yet can set down so soft at the surface. Shorthorn marked, hair for days, and the bone required to make them high dollar show cattle - I truly don’t know how it can get much better than these two females.

Her white belly is just an added touch to this beauty. This cow prospect is huge everywhere - heart, middle, top and quarter. To me that’s a nice match to the Fusion sired calf that’s coming. Her Mother has sold over $700,000 of progeny.

Plus it takes this kind of muscle structure to produce killer steers!! Don’t miss her at the ground - huge bone, huge feet and nice rear leg set.

I’m excited to see the next owner capture the true potential value of this great female!!

Evaluators of show livestock build will find this female and dig her as much as I do. Cattle that are this tidy and long necked, this elevated in their sternum, and this soft and correct in the angle of their shoulder and knee, generally aren’t the ones that open up incredibly wide behind their blade, massive in the turn to their rib, and soft in the center portion of their body. This female is so incredibly crisp over the edge of her loin, long in her hip design, wide in her pinset, dense through her quarter and stifle, and has the best hind leg that you will watch walk through the sale arena in Sioux Falls. SIRE: MONOPOLY SON • DAM: MAN AMONG BOYS

AI: 5/11 MAY WE ALL • PE: MAY WE ALL SON • DUE DATE: 2/17 AI SAFE

This black and white heifer is certainly typey and made to produce steers. You have to have the extra width and natural spread that this heifer displays in order to get offspring that makes competitive and marketable steers…and market heifers. I like her extra bone, and she has super shaggy leg hair. There’ll be plenty of matings that will keep a little chrome and make them good out of this great heifer. Coming with a May We All steer, so payday isn’t too far away.

AI: 5/10 SEXED KING PIN • PE: MAY WE ALL SON • DUE DATE: 3/28/26

We only had a one day window to get pictures and videos done and just flat ran out of daylight to get everybody done. I think she is a high quality Angus prospect that fits the mold of Angus cattle that I want to bring to the First Class Sale. It will be worth your time to find in the yards. She is ultra deep and soggy middled with plenty of power down her top to make purple producing show heifers. You decide, but she has the look that you could think about making some good Maine Angus or halfblood Simmys that would add to her resume as a donor!!

The only Life’s a Trip heifer in my offering, and she is truly a trip! I like the look starting with clean throated and sharp necked and upheaded. If you need one that will bring some bone and structure to the next set of calves, this white heifer fits the bill.

Sexed Fireman would appear to be the perfect mating on this orange colored heifer. I brought a half dozen of these colored females to Sioux falls, and they are all similarly stamped. Big bodied, good fronted and extra good structurally. This one is has an advantage in front end structure and look, but you choose which one you like the best or take ‘em all!!

SIRE: FORBES • DAM: WHO DA MAN/RIGHT DIRECTION

Yet another daughter out of a proven cow family that has maternal genetics galore. The Forbes Angus sire influence is a trusted way to get fertility and predictable power into your cow herd. With Who Da Man on the cow side, making some Chi eligible breeding cattle is a viable option here as well. Her shoulder design and front end is what sells her but still reads with plenty of mass and volume to make great cattle.

AI: 5/10 FUSION • PE: 3811 CALVING EASE RED ANGUS • DUE DATE: 4/5/26

Here’s a Shorthorn marked Perfection daughter that has such a nice look. Upheaded, impeccable front third, smooth shouldered that sure makes her a maternal option, but then is big hipped and lower stifle begs to breed her for a breed steer. I think there are breeding options galore on this red one. Either way, buy her!!

AI: 5/10 LOVIN SIZE • PE: 3811 CALVING EASE RED ANGUS • DUE DATE: 2/16 AI SAFE

One of the real complete Char influenced females in the offering. The smokey heifer has lots of mass and power especially as you watch her move away. Big top and big hip and yet is exceptional in the set to her hock and pastern. Study her pedigree, and you’ll catch that the great Charlene cow is part of the reason you’ll like her, too. Likely coming with a Lovin Size heifer calf that will bring immediate return to this investment.

SIRE: MAN AMONG BOYS • DAM: HOLY SMOKER

AI: 6/21 MAY WE ALL • PE: MAY WE ALL SON • DUE DATE: 3/30 AI SAFE

Here’s some attention grabbing chrome on a good MAB sired bred. Study her rib shape and perfect structure, and she is super level out over her hip. Breed her to black clubby bulls to calm down the color or get creative with a colored up mating to get something super noticeable. You decide, but either way this one is just flat good and will be fun to genetically mess with in the future.

SIRE: MAY WE ALL • DAM: MATERNAL MADE

The maternal design is so right on this lady. She profiles beautifully and is so nice in her head, neck and shoulder set. She gets really bold from her rib back and is level in her lines both across her top and undercarriage as well. Maybe the coolest thing about her is coming with a Data Maker heifer calf that will likely carry on the cow quality of this girl.
