When breeders walked into the Wright Charolais display pen of bulls at the National Western Stock Show, he quickly established himself as one of the stars of the pen. He was a member of the 2022 Denver Grand Champion Pen-of-Three Bulls! These Inferno sons are turning up the heat on the rest of the breed and this son is certainly one of the very best! A huge spread between his low birth weight to weaning weight. He ranks in the top 1% of the breed for both WW & YW, he is in the top 4% of the breed for MTL and SC, he ranks in the top 1% for CW, the top 9% for REA, the top 9% for MARB and in the top 2% for TSI, all while maintaining the breed average for birth! A two-thirds interest in WC Monumental 5524 sold for $42,500 to Weber Charolais in South Dakota in 2017 and a one-half interest in WC Inferno 6561 sold for $47,500 to 5L Ranch in Montana in 2018.

This is a mating with PURPOSE that combines the calving-ease, carcass merit and phenotype that WC Southern Comfort brings to the table with the breed leading performance and overall mass that WC Asta 0505 generates! WC Hotshot 1104 P ET will be a difference maker with exceptional breeding flexibility with NO RUSHMORE blood in the pedigree.

Hotshot’s dam WC Asta 0505 P is a performance monster! Her first calf a heifer had an adjusted weaning weight of 766 lbs. to ratio 119 and sold to a purebred program in Virginia. Her next two natural born calves were WC Monumental and WC Inferno that were the #1 ranked bulls in their contemporary groups with AWW’s of 937 lbs. ratio 125 and 885 lbs. to ratio 117. Her next heifer calf had an AWW of 854 lbs. to ratio 118 and was the #1 heifer in that group. The 2021 Kansas City American Royal Breeders Classic Grand Champion Bull and Calf Champion at the 2022 Oklahoma City Cattlemen’s Congress is one of the more uniquely built white bulls we have seen! He has an unreal presence and look. He is a big square hipped prospect with a soft hind leg, carries some extra shag and is shorter backed and better behind his shoulder than his famous father.

We think this guy will make a huge impact generating the next generation of banner winning, high income show heifers but still producing sons with the basic fundamentals to be useful in the real beef cattle world. His sire Redemption has continued to be popular across the breed and into the club calf world with semen sales after selling as a yearling for $85,000 for one-half interest. The buyers of Redemption have received all their investment back plus more, since that purchase in 2018.

Now turn your attention to the maternal side of this pedigree tabulation. WC Missy 5186 at six years of age is turning up the pressure on the other cows in the WC donor program.
