oofa is the matriarch of our firm and the driving force behind our Hereford program. The amount of impact she has made, not only on our genetics, but the breed as a whole, is impressive. From the first day we laid eyes on her at 16 days old in the crate at Doug Loof’s, she has been an unstoppable force. An impressive show career was capped off by settling first cover and generating Top Notch in her first parity. Her generating power proved not to be a fluke, siring Mastercraft and Never Never in subsequent litters. While her ability to produce boars is unmatched, her true generating power and impact can be seen in the keeper pen and female offspring. Since the beginning, Loofa has risen high above the rest. Her structure is immaculate, her flexibility is unreal, and her maternal ability is incredible. Loofa is one durable queen. The weather in northern Missouri can be extreme and the environment she thrives in can be harsh. None of this has shaken her ability to settle, farrow and wean quality stock parity after parity. Loofa sells bred to Rub

It In for the first time and I strongly believe this mating could easily advance the Hereford breed forward and make the best even better. Loofa has built a royal lineage that has proven to be as successful as her, producing champions at all levels, selling boars to stud and generating daughters that are following her lead. Loofa’s long list of successes continue to grow with each generation. Her reign will serve as a legacy in the Hereford breed for many years to come. I do not typically offer bred females, so take my word when I say that I have thought long and hard about this unique opportunity to move your firm forward and the Hereford breed forward altogether.

What a monumental (and borderline insane) decision this was to offer up the best of the best of Grady Genetics. Loofa, as she is commonly referred to around here, has been such an integral part in our journey in the Hereford breed and our success within that journey. We knew that it was time to spread some genetics around to improve the breed and let her go to work for someone else. Her litter out of Rub It In could possibly be one of her best. We hope that wherever she may land, she makes as big of an impact as she did here at Grady Genetics.
