He is sired by the $92,000 outcross PVF Ridge and out of the one-half interest $49,000 Dory, whose progeny are making a name for themselves across the United States. Backwater Jack made quite an impression on Charolais breeders from across the nation when he showed up at the 2021 National Show in Oklahoma City. First, he was the lead off bull in the WIA Pen-of-Three Pen Show and was selected the Grand Champion Pen. Later that afternoon a one-half interest in him sold for $30,000 in the National Sale.
