PROJECT
01
This project gives understanding to different operations and conditions. From most basic operation like fold, plug-in, dice then having conditions to ground, to connect and to open. Precedent studies and explorations were made to have better understanding on how forms work and how it should play with light and shadows.
TASK A Find an object / product / phenomenon that relates to the given spatial operation. Analyze the object, understand its volumetic manipulation relating to its function and value.
TASK B Do a precedent study in a group of 3, then produce a series of architectural diagram and model of the selected precedent studies, analysing spatial operation and condition, and investigate the form and spatial characteristics.
TASK C Produce further exploration of natural light and scale on spatial variation

PROJECT
02
In this project, we were tasked to do analysis on the site in UCSI and then select a 1250sqm site. Then we were to create forms to response to the site. Next, we will be interviewing 2 students as reference who chosen to be our client. We need to research their problems and interests in order to create a student community centre that satisfy the students.
TASK A1 Group of 7-8 students, do site analysis on UCSI University.
TASK A2 Interview and collect data from 2 students from the same faculty.
TASK B Produce 5 variations of forms by considering different aspects such as circulation, sun, wind, view, etc. The 5 variation is to be place on the chosen site with the scale og 1:200

History & Future Development
S W O T
Ground is distributed evenly Wind flow at right amount Situated close to main office building ( Block A) Low human circulation KLCC view Situated at a higher point in UCSI
Noise and smell pollution from nearby shoplot Minimal natural light after 2pm No direct water supply to chosen site
Surrounding vegetation to support green architecture Promote natural air ventilation due to surrounding vegetation Able to oversee most of UCSI if building is erected high enough Creative ways to build entrance towards site to read chosen build up area easily
Vegetation might attract pests / insects Human health might be affected due to nearby pollution High humidity might cause mold growth

According to the study of 2 Fashion Design students, they have mentioned that staying indoor too often could affect their mental health badly. Hence, the building is desgined with the conocept ‘INSIDE OUT’ to enhance relationships and interactions betwwen students. Spaces such as the recreation park and the couryard is the main space where encourage users to stay outside so that they can enhance interactions with each other , as well as interactions to the nature.
