Coming Back to Your First Love

You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. Rev. 2:3-4

The 2025 Heartbeat International Conference wasn't on my calendar I had no Interest in going To be honest, my reluctance stemmed from several factors: a lingering uneasiness about flying this year, and Birmingham, Alabama hardly ranking on my personal bucket list of destinations. Yet despite these hesitations, I felt a clear divine nudging that this year's attendance was necessary. After three decades in ministry, battle fatigue had settled in, and I hadn't participated in a national conference for twenty years

Someone once told me that pushing yourself beyond your comfort zone often yields the greatest rewards. How right they were! The Heartbeat Conference delivered exactly the spiritual and professional rejuvenation I needed. Their theme, "Iron Sharpening Iron," perfectly captured what became a truly transformative experience

Surprisingly, the conference's impact wasn't about introducing revolutionary strategies or innovative ministry approaches. Instead, it gently reminded me of a fundamental truth I'd somehow lost sight of along the way: the gospel of Jesus Christ and the sanctity of human life are inseparable.

In our earnest pursuit to develop comprehensive medical services addressing all pregnancy needs, we had inadvertently pushed the gospel into the background. Whether motivated by concerns about New Jersey state regulations, fears of negative Google reviews, or desires to maintain political correctness, we had drifted from our foundational purpose The conference brought clarity Jesus was calling us back to our first love, and any potential backlash would be His concern, not ours After all, this was His ministry, not ours

It's the transformative power of the gospel that lifts a young woman from despair after discovering she's pregnant with triplets It's the gospel that assures a new father that God loves him and will help him become the dad he needs to be It's the gospel that transforms perspective; from seeing merely "a ultrasound. And it's the gospel that community.

I attended a NIFLAtraining program for Limited OB ultrasound This training was part of our Focus on the Family grant award It was hosted by Thrive Express in Savannah, GA, similar to our own TRUE Women's Center. Limited OB Ultrasound protocol focuses on documenting intrauterine pregnancy, estimating gestational age, and confirming cardiac activity

I trained alongside 11 participants from 8 different states. We worked in small teams. The groups began each day with devotion, song, and prayer I was able to share a spiritual insight with the group, referencing John 4:35 about "fields white for harvest "Since returning from my training, I’ve completed 10 of the recommended 40 scans needed to work independently.

I find deep meaning in showing ultrasounds to abortion-vulnerable mothers, helping them see their baby's heartbeat and potentially choose to continue their pregnancy is a miraculous work of God

Back from Savannah! Super Saturday!

The recent Super Saturday event at Washington Lake Park was an extraordinary success for our center, drawing record attendance and fostering meaningful connections throughout our community.

Families and individuals lined up under our tent to plant their own sunflowers. Each person went home with instructions how to transplant the flower into their garden

It was an exciting time to see the whole community gather on a beautiful sunny day. We made new genuine connections with both businesses and individuals. We are thankful for our team who worked tirelessly through out the day

Saving a Patient’s Life

Afirst-time patient walked in with her husband excited to confirm that she is pregnant with their third child. They did not have insurance at the time and was referred to us by a doctor’s office.

Excited and expectant to see a baby, the initial ultrasound was inconclusive, but we were able to offer her a follow-up scan in 2 weeks. On the day of their rescan, the ultrasound looked abnormal, and the medical team were unable to confirm a viable pregnancy.

Due to the results, our on-site doctor recommended she seek medical care for what could potentially be a medical emergency. The couple took our doctor’s recommendations and sought her primary doctor to which they confirmed a molar pregnancy [A molar pregnancy is a rare complication where abnormal tissue grows inside the uterus instead of a healthy baby]

We followed up with the patient where she said that they were able to perform a D&C to remove all the tumor and that a hysterectomy was not needed for how early we caught it We will continue to serve the community by providing free pregnancy verification so women can be empowered to make healthy decisions, and in turn save lives
