moments to gather At a moment in history when societal unrest swirls out of control and division is pervasive, pastors and leaders of the Movement met for a four-day experience of dramatic contrast. As the first major Church of God event since the COVID-19 pandemic, Convention 2023 doubled Denver’s attendance from just two years ago.

I am hopeful about the direction of the Church of God and am grateful for our wonderful leaders!

I felt like we were having a Church of God gathering again with an agenda for worship, good preaching, unity in fellowship and in the business aspect. I felt that we had been called together for those purposes alone and not for an agenda that could potentially divide. I spoke with young and old alike, and we were on the same page with only positive comments.

Global Church of God Alliance The GCGA has been a defining moment in the Church of God, impacting, framing, and propelling the Movement for generations to come.

Tampa also marked the inaugural gathering of the newly formed Global Church of God Alliance (GCGA). This historic event was the first-ever convocation of representatives of Church of God assemblies worldwide to establish an ongoing strategic table to strengthen and network the Movement globally.

Its formation was in response to a global heart-cry for deeper relationships and synergy between the 100 autonomous Church of God assemblies, the acknowledgement of a maturing Movement around the world, and the realization that technology and sociology are transcending traditional ethnic, cultural, and geographic boundaries.

One of the most helpful ministries to more deeply know our communities has happened through a partnership with MissionInsite.

MissionInsite provides a deep-dive into the lifestyle behaviors, interests, religious preferences, and financial resources of households near a local church. Churches can discover unique demographic information such as areas of poverty, an abundance of single parents, or the elderly to ensure their outreach is contextually relevant.

CASE STUDY Pathway Church in Vero Beach, Florida, has a vision “To be the church: restoring, raising up, and reaching out.”

As the board and staff prayerfully considered how this vision would come to life, a MissionInsite report helped confirm the direction God was leading them. As a result, lead pastor Dr. Brian Bennett reports numerous ways Pathway Church has been able to serve their community: • Launched a pilot Celebrate Recovery program • Opened up their space for a basketball development clinic/outreach
