Registration for the Spring 2025 Virginia Presidents Cup is open for boys and girls ages 11U – 14U! The Presidents Cup provides a progressive, competitive experience of teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie and community from the state to regional to national levels of US Youth Soccer.

VYSA Club Leaders, It’s time to make a meaningful New Year’s resolution that truly has the potential to impact the quality of life for so many families in the communities we serve. If your club doesn’t have a TOPSoccer program, let’s work together to start one. If your club already has a TOPSoccer program, let’s work on expanding it so we can bring more value, more smiles, and more soccer to these very special athletes. The “Beautiful Game” is meant to be enjoyed by all children, regardless of ability. TOPSoccer is US Youth Soccer’s program for athletes with disAbilities. Virginia already is a national leader with nearly 30 established TOPSoccer programs, but the opportunity and need to expand this important program is boundless. In my experience, the best clubs provide soccer opportunities for everyone. Not only does TOPSoccer give athletes with disAbilities the chance to have fun playing soccer, but we also work on developing important communication and social skills. Equally important is the positive impact this program has on our amazing TOPSoccer Buddies. Our student volunteers learn firsthand the importance of volunteerism and community service. As leaders, our primary responsibility is to help raise good humans, not just talented soccer players. VYSA can help make your TOPSoccer program successful: · Free training for volunteers · Communication / marketing plan · Opportunity to receive USYS TOPSoccer Grant Funds · Assistance with obtaining free equipment · Discounted uniforms ($5 per shirt for TOPS athletes and volunteers) · Practice plans If you need more information regarding TOPSoccer, please contact me. Often, the best approach for clubs looking to establish a new TOPS program is to host a one-hour TOPS session / festival in the spring, to test the waters, before launching a full season in the fall.
