COACH,
I am extremely disappointed to have to write this email.
I received multiple reports from the recent match regarding your dissent with the youth referee including loudly challenging his calls.
As it has been made abundantly clear both that there is zero tolerance for dissent with youth referees, you leave me no choice but to suspend you from your team’s match this Saturday. This means you may not attend the game. In addition, the suspension will continue beyond the one game until you complete the online Return to Good Standing course at https://thesidelineproject.com/
Please know that you’re expected to be on your best behavior in all remaining matches you participate in. Any further incidents will result in additional suspensions.

DEAR CLUB PRESIDENT,
I completely disagree with this decision. I never once argued a call with the center ref and only was challenged by the sideline ref when on two occasions I asked what the call was as the kids on the field were confused. The sideline ref also yelled across the field several times during the game for the other coach “questioning calls” to the center ref, is that coach suspended as well?
At no point did I ever address the center ref but the sideline ref addressed me as a coach several times aggressively. I also was never asked about my side of what happened with anyone in the league and I also spoke with XXX today about the awkward encounter at the game and now I’m receiving this which comes at a total shock because I would have said the opposite happened from the sideline ref.
I’d like to speak further about the situation tomorrow with whomever that is.

To start, taking the Good Standing course is probably something I should have taken a long time ago. The perspective given in the videos has completely changed my view on how I’ve coached up until this point as a coach.
I’ve always justified my actions because I thought I was right but after watching these videos I realize I never got the point of the countless conversations I’ve had with commissioners in the past.
To start, please disregard my previous email about an hour ago. I feel foolish reading back as I now see things in such a different light than how I responded.
I accept my suspension and promise to do the right thing moving forward. No matter what the situation is you all can count on me to always de escalate distracting or hostile environments. The biggest eye opener for me was the distracting perspective shared. I definitely contributed to that last Saturday, and for that I’m sorry. I promise not to do that again and moving forward I will make sure to only create positive and supportive environments at all times during XXX events.
Thanks for your understanding. I hope you all have a good night and sorry to cause any more time than you already put in for my action's last Saturday.
