SHE. Brand Bible

ABOUT SHE Made up of over 30 unique characters, SHE, based in Coventry, aims to bring together the diverse projects of each of the 19/20 Fashion cohort of Coventry University’s Fashion course; to focus on the concept of ‘Rebellion’ and ‘Transparency’.

The theme of ‘Rebellion’ is used as a theme for our visual branding and key values. For SHE, the ‘rebellion’ theme is used to reclaim space and make a statement our other supporting theme ‘transparency’ means to be open and honest about our individual research, journeys, material sourcing and development to which reflects the beauty in complexity of design and creative process.

logo For SHE, our logo design comes from our name SHE. The name SHE. Was brought on by the collective Coventry University Fashion 19/20 cohort being all female therefore to celebrate this SHE. Was born. With Visual branding inspired by rebellion and the idea of reclaiming spaces, the font ‘Road Rage’ was selected due to its bold lettering, rough brushstrokes and impactful lines to beautifully arry the logo to the theme.

the theme of rebellion is important to portray, in even choice. This is why for our headers and logos we use ‘Road Rage’ yet for body of text ‘Prestige Elite Std’ Similar as a typewriter font, we belive this suits the individuals of SHE as we are always writing our stories.

Colour Our colour pallette is entirely monochrome,the simple colours of greys adds depth and tones. We believe the colour will entirely come from the Fashion cohort from Coventry 19/20 with an abundance of colour and tones these combinedwill tell the story of SHE. The colour tones goes as follows in RGB Order.

Photography Inspired by rebellion and being yourself, the reclaiming of space and voicing your thoughts therefore our imagery should reflect this inspiration whilst capturing viewers’ attention. Projects within the brand of SHE are all inspired by the creators’ respective topics which brings together different materials. Close ups on materials and details of garments will be utilised along with the garments centre stage worn by diverse models of all ages and genders.

Editing from the photoshoots should be minimal with the correct lighting to make the images come across as natural and in the moment.

Models in the photos can be expressive and over the top in emotion and body language, we want to give the viewer a show. Photography taken outside of studio spaces should have an industrial feel added with plenty of posters which gives it the reclaimed feel.

TONE OF VOICE SHE’s language is free speaking, open and honest. We’d want to be able to voice our thoughts which helps to document everyone’s design journeys which helps SHE to be as transparent about the fashion 19/20 cohort not just fabrics and materials. As open as we aim to be, the use of language relating to drug paraphernalia, illegal actions or content is strictly prohibited. Our language aims to stay personal and relatable to the viewing public and when communicating to people and other professionals.

SOCIAL MEDIA Instagram stories should have no filters unless black and white is used and it to be added into the highlights. Our highlights are sectioned into categories such as; fundraising, sketchbooks, toiles, takeover, studio. The highlights should use the font ‘Road Rage’ with the beginning letter of the name of the highlight.

Social media has a large impact on people’s influences/ style and lifestyle.

With social medias’ global audience, SHE posts to Facebook and Instagram should be posted at what is considered at ‘peak times’ daily.

Times include 9:00, 13:00 and 18:00. Images posted on social media shouldn’t have any added filters provided by the site keeping images as candid as possible.

The images should strictly have no illegal content, no drug paraphernalia and selective colour use only.
