Instrument of Sasine in Latin, regarding the adjudication to creditor Colin Hay of some of his debtors' lands and buildings "lying within the territory and liberty of the burgh of Cromarty", signed by bailie Alexander Clunes, vellum, creasing, agerelated toning, browning to ink, scattered soiling, folio, 13 June 1649.
***This is possibly the first document in which Charles II is referred to as King during the period from his father's death to the Restoration. England and Scotland are both left out of hit titles. leaving him as titular King of France and Ireland.
