The new development in Chippewa Falls is underway and black dirt is moving quickly to pave the way to new roads and businesses near Seymour Cray Sr. Blvd.
Cobblestone Hotels, LLC has announced that they will be joining the development with construction beginning this summer. The new hotel will be the first of its kind in the Cobblestone brand as they are working on finalizing the development and brand concepts for the Riverstone Suites by Cobblestone Hotels brand. The Chippewa Crossings location will feature 58 guestrooms and be uniquely tailored to long term guests.
“The new hotel coming to Chippewa Falls will be the first of its kind in the Cobblestone brand.” said Kim Wogernese, Owner. “This project is extra special to us, not only because it is a new concept for our brand, but because it was Brian’s final passion project. My family and team are proud to bring it to fruition in honor of him.”
Wangard Partners has completed their site work at the development and are ready for the other operators who have purchased land to start their construction. The other publicly announced businesses include Culvers, Kwik Trip, and most notably Festival Foods which will be adding more than 250 store associate positions to their Chippewa Falls location and will begin construction in the coming months. With any large development, there will be more official announcements of businesses that will call Chippewa Falls home and the Chamber is excited to assist with attracting additional businesses to this desirable area of the city.
Just north of Chippewa Crossing Blvd on the other side of Seymour Cray Sr. Blvd is the newly acquired land the City of Chippewa Falls purchased from the State of Wisconsin. These parcels will assist in the future planning of the city and will welcome even more opportunities for our community. The City is currently working with several developers for optimal planning for this area.
Tuesday, April 18 from 11:00am – 1:00pm the Chamber will be hosting the State of the City Lunch and Learn at the Fill Inn Station to discuss many aspects of our community as well as these advancements. This event is sponsored by Toycen Ford and the Eau Claire Express.
