The Western & Central Wisconsin Wage Survey will be distributed on March 15, 2021. The deadline for employers to participate is May 3, and the results will be published in July. This regional survey has been conducted annually since 2000 and has expanded over the years to be co-sponsored by over 12 regional Chambers and organizations. Past participants and members of all Chambers of Commerce and SHRM Chapters will receive an email invitation on March 15 with instructions on completing the survey. State Budget Update

GUEST SPEAKER: STATE SENATOR KATHY BERNIER

The Wisconsin Legislature is working on the 2021 2023 Biennial Budget. State Senator Kathy Bernier represents the Chippewa Falls area and currently serves on the Joint Finance Committee. All bills introduced in either the Assembly or Senate that appropriate money, provide for revenue, or relate to taxation are referred to this committee before being voted on in the legislature. The proposed state budget is being considered in the committee at this time. Senator Bernier will give an update of the budget as well as other legislation during this onehour virtual event.

The U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Wisconsin office recently recognized Security Financial Bank (SFB) with the Wisconsin SBA Volume Lender Award for FY2020. SFB had the most approved 7(a) loans for a financial institution with an asset size between $500 million and $1 billion in the state. Security Financial Bank is pleased to announce these recent promotions and hires: • Andrew (Andy) Robertson has been promoted to chief credit officer • Jacob Bauer will serve as a commercial portfolio manager in SFB’s Bloomer office • Shayna Reichert has been promoted to director of mortgage banking Trust Point is starting 2021 with a new, but familiar, leadership team. Judy is a lifelong resident of the Chippewa Valley. This wife and mom to two grown sons is a graduate of Chippewa Falls Senior High and UW- Eau Claire. Although she began her career in radio, she has been an award winning part of the WEAU team since 1990. She is currently and anchor and producer who also hosts special programs and community events.

Michele Paquette - B&D Metal Fab

Michele is a Wisconsin native with a career in healthcare marketing prior to transitioning into her current position in manufacturing. She is a mother to her daughter and son, and co-owner of B&D Metal Fab with her husband. She is a champion for small business and is working towards increased involvement in the local community and economic development.

Amanda Spitz DDS - Smiles in Motion

Amanda is has lived in Wisconsin all her life, and moved to Chippewa Falls In 2005 where she and her husband are raising their daughters. In 2008, Amanda founded Smiles in Motion, a pediatric dentistry office. Over the last thirteen years, she has expanded her practice to have six offices across western Wisconsin.
