Advancing and improving children's care
VOL. 7, ISSUE 1
The search for knowledge is essential for improving the care Children’s Hospital Colorado provides. Research gives physicians and scientists the ability to develop new preventions, treatments and cures for children with life-altering illnesses and injuries. Children’s Hospital Colorado’s investigators are contributing to a greater understanding of pediatrics – work that is resonating with their colleagues, the larger scientific community, and is impacting the lives of patients and families. Research ranges from improving treatments for childhood leukemia, diabetes and cystic fibrosis, to developing a new artificial heart pump for kids with only one ventricle. Increasingly, gifts from a broad base of passionate donors, along with thoughtful long-term management of these community investments, drive our pursuit of research to find new ways of caring for kids.
