2 Let’s add an eye by drawing a tilted oval shape with two small circles in it. One circle should be much smaller and sit to the top left of the other one. Leave those small circles empty, but colour the rest of the eye in.

3 Now do exactly the same thing for the second eye, with the oval tilted the other way. The smallest circle should still sit to the top left of the bigger one.

4 Adding three small curved lines will give your alien a lovely smile and some friendly eyebrows.

5 Time to draw a body. Draw a curved line down on the left side, with a sausage shape sticking out of the middle for an arm. Draw the same on the right side too.

6 Finish up the body by drawing two more sausage shapes for legs, joined together in the middle as I have done here.

8 Almost there! Give your alien a big heart, slightly to the right of centre. Voilà!

9 That’s it! Draw a scribbly shadow underneath your alien and then give it some colour, as well as any other little details you fancy.
