I hope this message finds you well, filled with the hope and excitement that has marked my year with Child Freedom Coalition. As a pastor at 5 Point Church in Easley, SC, and a fellow member of The Coalition, I was profoundly moved by my visit with the rescued children in South Asia this past April. The trip showcased the significant impact of our collective efforts. The resilience and joy of the children at The Children's Home were truly inspiring. Despite their past trauma, their spirits remain unbroken, and their capacity for joy is immense—a testament to the critical work of the dedicated on-site team. Having spent time overseas with many different non-profit organizations over the years, I sometimes feel like I've seen it all. Yet, this trip reminded me that is not the case. The stark contrast between the light within The Children's Home and the darkness in the surrounding areas was jarring to say the least. It deeply reinforced the necessity of our work through Child Freedom Coalition. Motivated by this visit, our church committed $70,000 to fund a new computer lab, enhancing the educational opportunities for these children. This investment in technology will equip them with essential skills, helping them grow into successful and independent adults. This past year has moved our mission forward significantly, with God blessing these children with new life and possibilities. While progress is often measured in numbers, the real success is seen in the transformed lives of these children—each one a miracle, profoundly touched by your support and prayers.
