The Belle Fourche Chamber of Commerce serves to promote our members, the commercial, civic, and general interests of the city of Belle Fourche, and our trade area. As a voluntary organization our aim is to represent and advocate for our members and the business community as a whole. We are not a civic club, a charitable organization, or department of city government. We are a private, non-profit, taxpaying corporation focused on improving the community and businesses of Belle Fourche. We’re compromised of people — people just like you, who realize that we can accomplish more collectively than individually.

Joe Koller, Mr. Belle Fourche & Mr. Roundup -Joe was our Belle Fourche chamber director for years from 1925 to 1962. He was an active member of the Butte County Historical Society as well on the museum board for years. After a brief interruption in his work to serve in World War I, Koller moved to Belle Fourche and opened a photography studio in the 2nd floor of the Smiley-Durr Hardware store in 1923, which he ran for next 20 years. In 1964, Mr. Koller was awarded the International Rodeo Management’s Rodeo Man of the Year. In the 1950s and 1960s, Koller published more than 50 short stories in western periodicals as well as contributing a chapter for the Territo rial Centennial publication, Dakota Panorama. In 1962, failing health forced Joe to resign from both the Belle Fourche chamber and as director on the board of PCR; he died in 1983.
