SERVICE & WORSHIP

WORSHIP Citizens who choose to worship in a church community can find traditional liturgy as well as contemporary, spontaneous worship. Spearfish is home to over 30 different houses of worship that represent most major denominations and include numerous independent congregations. Area residents and visitors have ample opportunities to strengthen their faith through worship services, Sunday school, Bible study groups, choir, musical outreach, and many other fellowship activities. For a list of current worship times and locations, pick up a Friday edition of the local newspaper, the Black Hills Pioneer. SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS Spearfish supports many social service agencies in our community, which assist victims of domestic violence, as well as agencies that maintain clothing, supplies and/or assists persons experiencing financial difficulties. The Spearfish area is served by a wealth of service organizations, striving to unite the residents of Spearfish and provide a higher quality of life offering a wide variety of activities and involvement for residents. Whether you wish to serve in a community of faith or serve in an organization that supports others, Spearfish has a place for you!
