November 17, 2016 Welcome to the 2016 Chicago United Bridge Awards Dinner, a special evening for our community as we gather to celebrate the continued advancement of inclusive diversity. At Hyatt, we care for people so they can be their best. This is our purpose statement, with each word thoughtfully selected. When we say “people,� we include everyone from every walk of life around the world. Diverse and inclusive colleagues fill the halls of our hotels and offices globally. They represent a direct expression of and commitment to our purpose, and they are what make up the Hyatt family. Tonight we celebrate the work of Chicago United in giving voice to the importance of ensuring our business community is open to all and a place where people of color can thrive. I am pleased to recognize James Metcalf and EY as Bridge Award recipients this evening. They deserve our appreciation for furthering the important efforts of Chicago United and fostering dynamically inclusive workplaces.
