George Burciaga launched elevate DIGITAL in 2012, a software firm positioned to transform citizen engagement at street-level with its “Citizen Mobility Experience”; a platform that engages users by touch, Wi-Fi, mobility, sensoring, and ennables cities to become efficient and sustainable by connecting everyone. Burciaga successfully raised $14 million for elevate and was recently acquired by CIVIQ Smartscapes, the industry and global leader within IoT and SMART City technology. Recognized locally and nationally as a business leader, Burciaga was inducted into the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame and Chicago Who’s Who in 2014. Burciaga contributes to Wired Magazine and other publications as a specialist for SMART City technology and IoT services. He started the “Follow Me” program, in which he visits Chicago-area high schools and encourages students to attend college. He was appointed to the Illinois’ Economic Recovery Commission and the State of Illinois Literacy Foundation Board and is a current member of the Economic Club of Chicago, Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and several other national advisory councils.

Gloria Castillo is president and CEO of Chicago United. Castillo is a pioneering advocate for workplace diversity with a passion for advancing inclusion and social and economic justice through the lens of business strategy. Her work on behalf of underrepresented populations was recognized in 2017 with an honorary Doctorate in Social Justice from Roosevelt University. Castillo has also been presented with the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund’s Corporate Social Responsibility Award, the Business and Professional People for the Public Interest’s Champion of the Public Interest Award, and the YWCA of Metropolitan Chicago’s Racial Justice Award. She serves on the Board of Directors of The Field Foundation of Illinois and Intersect Illinois, the National Advisory Board for the Insight Center for Community Economic Development, and is Co-Chair of the Illinois Bicentennial Commission. Gloria also speaks and writes frequently on issues of race and corporate diversity. She has recently spoken at Kellogg School of Management and served on panels for The Chicago Network and Roosevelt University.

John W. Daniels, Jr. is chairman emeritus of Quarles & Brady and a strategic business advisor to many of the firm’s largest clients. Formerly the national president of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, John has established a career in the practice of real estate law, representing national, regional, local, and governmental owners and investors, and plays a significant role in several real estate redevelopment projects in the United States. For his legal accomplishments, he has been called one of “the 50 most influential diverse attorneys in America” by the National Bar Association and one of “100 Managing Partners You Need to Know” by Lawdragon. He has been honored not only for his legal leadership but for his entrepreneurialism, his spirit of excellence in the pursuit of racial justice, and his devotion to education.

Darrel is responsible for overseeing the strategic development and delivery of BMO Financial Group’s personal wealth management businesses throughout the United States. The U.S. wealth management business provides the full complement of wealth management services, as well as comprehensive multi-family office services. He oversees a team of 1,200 wealth management professionals with offices across the U.S. For more than 130 years, BMO Wealth Management U.S. has served the unique and continually evolving needs of affluent individuals and families through a highly personalized, relationship-focused approach. Darrel most recently served as Senior Vice President & Head of North American Integrated Channels for BMO Financial Group, and he led U.S. Business Banking for BMO Harris. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and his M.B.A. from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. Darrel currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Art Institute of Chicago and the Adler Planetarium Executive Committee. He is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and the Young Presidents’ Organization.

Dean M. Harrison is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, the primary teaching affiliate of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Since joining Northwestern Memorial HealthCare in 1998, Mr. Harrison has been instrumental to the creation and success of Northwestern Medicine, now an integrated academic health system anchored by Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Northwestern Medical Group. Northwestern Medicine comprises 7 hospitals, over 100 ambulatory and diagnostic sites, and more than 4,100 physicians. Mr. Harrison serves on the boards of directors of the Center for Medical Interoperability, The Economic Club of Chicago, Executives’ Club of Chicago, Illinois Hospital Association, Northern Trust, Northwestern University, United Way of Metropolitan Chicago and World Business Chicago. He is a member of the Commercial Club of Chicago, its Civic Committee and the Institute of Medicine of Chicago.

Director of Customer Care, ComEd, An Exelon Company | Member, Chicago United Board of Directors Nichole R. Owens has been in the utility industry for more than 18 years. She has held various positions throughout her career at ComEd in Marketing, Quality Assessment/Assurance, Emergency Response (in Chicago and Philadelphia) including the Office of the President and COO. She transitioned to the Manager of Technical Services in Engineering, where she had responsibiltiies for Distribution Mapping and Records, Quality Assurance and Control, Regulatoy Performance & Reporting and Distribution Work Strategy. She acquired Construction and Operational Experience as the Manager of Chicago Electric Operations where she lead a team of nearly 100 employees responsible for the safe and productive execution of emergency response, system configuraiton, construction and maintenance of the elctrical grid including ComEd's smart grid and grid modernizaiton programs. She is currently the Director of ComEd's Customer Care Center where she oversees ~500 employees dedicated to providing a Premiere Customer Experince to 3.8 million customers. Nichole has served on the board of directrors as President of St. Agatha Family Empowerment (S.A.F.E.). She currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Northern Illinois Better Business Bureau. Nichole has a B.S. from University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and a MBA from Kellstadt (DePaul Unviersity) with a concentration in Finance/Financial Management control.

Anne Pramaggiore is president and CEO of ComEd, an electric utility company delivering electricity to 3.8 million customers in Chicago and Northern Illinois. Pramaggiore joined ComEd in 1998 to work on the company’s transition to competitive energy markets under the Illinois Consumer Choice Law of 1997. In 2009, Pramaggiore was appointed as ComEd’s COO and became responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on the electric grid and in customer operations. In that role, she led the company’s effort to set the legislative framework for ComEd’s smart grid build-out, a leading model nationally for modernizing one of the largest utility systems in the country. Pramaggiore was promoted to her current position in February 2012. She is the first female to hold the post of president and CEO at the electric utility company. She serves as a board member of Chicago Federal Reserve Board, Motorola Solutions, Inc., Babcock and Wilcox Enterprises and several civic and community organizations.
