Mayor Thaddeus Jones and The City of Calumet City Community Economic Development team hosted a successful program event, “Realtors Brunch.” The realtor's event featured residents across Calumet City that gained an opportunity to get informed on local residential and com-mercial properties. Residents had a chance to ask local officials questions about acquiring property and the needs of Calumet City. An informative training session was also held for resi-dents to get a scope on “Next Steps” for expansion for first-time investors.
The event aimed at providing valuable information for local realtors and real estate profes-sionals. The Realtors Brunch featured keynote speakers from the City's Community & Econom-ic Development Department and other local real estate experts. Topics covered included mar-ket trends, investment opportunities, and the latest updates on property usage.
The brunch brought together local realtors, developers, and city department heads from both the Police and Fire departments. The incentive for this event was to encourage growth and foster communication within the community. The special event was held at the newly reno-vated Baymont Hotel as a means of showcasing the beautiful remodel. Mayor Jones is excited to begin planning for the next annual event.
“It’s amazing when you can bring together key stakeholders in the community to create mo-mentum. Our realtor's brunch was successful and informative for our local realtors, developers, and e ven first-time home buyers. We have various properties that have great potential for residential and commercial properties. We can’t wait to expand this event and provide more resources for our residentrs," says Mayor Thaddeus Jones.
