Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel released the Neighborhood Opportunity Fund on February 27. Andrea L. Zopp, Deputy Mayor and Chief Neighborhood Development Officer said right now, the fund is comprised of about $4 million dollars that will be used for grants, adding the city expects the fund will continue to grow over time and hopes it will be up to $50 million dollars in 3-5 years.

Arthur Grant III, business owner of Games Plus Incorporated, which is located in the Chatham area at 8237 South Cottage Grove Avenue, said he believes in giving back to the Chatham community where he also lives and says if he has the opportunity…he plans to benefit from the Neighborhood Opportunity Fund, which was released Feb. 27, 2017.
