Police with lots of military gear kill civilians more often than less-militarized officers more than double that of police departments that had received the least amount of military equipment through the 1033 Program. While data limitations limited our analysis to four states, our findings were replicated with nationwide data.

Police departments that get more equipment from the military kill more civilians than departments that get less military gear. That’s the finding from research on a federal program that has operated since 1997 that I have helped conduct as a scholar of police militarization.

That finding was recently confirmed and expanded by Edward Lawson Jr. at the University of South Carolina.

This federal effort is called the “1033 Program.” It’s named after the section of the 1997 National Defense Authorization Act that allows the U.S. Defense Department to give police agencies around the country equipment, including weapons and ammunition, that the military no longer needs.

Much of the equipment is brand new and some is innocuous – like file cabinets and fax machines. But the program has also equipped local police with armored vehicles and helicopters, as well as weapons meant to be used against people, like bayonets, automatic rifles and grenade launchers used to deploy tear gas.

The seeds of this program came in 1988 as the Cold War was ending.

The military was shrinking, while police were feeling overwhelmed fighting the drug war. A provision in the National Defense Authorization Act allowed military surplus be distributed to state and federal

agencies combating drugs. In 1997, the program was expanded to include all law enforcement agencies – including school districts. That additional eligibility led to a dramatic expansion in the program, and over the past 23 years police all across America received billions of dollars in military-grade hardware often designed specifically to fight in the battlefields of Afghanistan and Iraq.

And yet, all that equipment has done more harm than good. Militarization of police doesn’t reduce crime or improve officer safety – but it does make civilians less trusting of the police, with good reason.

In our study, my coauthors and I found that the police agencies who received the most military gear had, in the year after getting the equipment, a rate of civilian killings

On a wartime footing Federal records of how much military gear has actually been given to local police are inconsistent, poorly maintained and sometimes missing altogether. But between 2006 and 2014, the available records reveal that more than US$1.4 billion worth of equipment was distributed. While the 1033 Program is the most significant source of military gear for police in general, it is not the only source of military equipment for police: There are other similar federal and state grant programs, and many big-city police departments have massive equipment budgets of their own with which they can purchase military-grade hardware.

The 1033 Program often requires receiving agencies to use the equipment within the first year after getting it, according to research done by the American Civil Liberties Union, even if a situation may not truly need it. That requirement exists alongside the proliferation of heavily armed SWAT teams and other military-style units in U.S. police departments, officers’ veneration of the revenge-killing comic-book character “The

Punisher” and adoption of its logo, as well as militaristic training programs such as “killology.”

Together, research has shown, those influences lead police to emphasize the use of force to solve problems they encounter in the community. The equipment comes at no cost to the departments, but they have to pay to maintain it, which can be very expensive. To justify the costs, and help defray them, police often use the gear to serve search warrants targeting drug crimes. That can make the departments eligible for additional federal grants – and for a share of the value of any property and money seized during drug raids.

As a result, supposedly free weapons and vehicles can lead some police to use aggressive deployment strategies that make civilian casualties more likely. Other departments may already have a military-style mindset and are taking advantage of an opportunity to stockpile more equipment.

These increasingly aggressive deployment strategies of militarized police disproportionately harm communities of color, for instance in Maryland, where SWAT raids consistently target majority-Black neighborhoods.

Tragic, and deadly, results While police often claim that militarized gear is a necessity in order to prepare for “worst-case scenarios,” there is ample evidence that receiving agencies use military

gear in inappropriate situations.

While the killing of Black EMT Breonna Taylor in her home in March grabbed headlines, she is but one of many civilians killed by police under questionable circumstances during no-knock raids, when police force entry into a building or home without announcing themselves.

For obvious reasons, such raids carry an unreasonably high probability of death in a country with more guns than people. These and other overaggressive deployments are the direct result of public policy that gives militarized gear to local police, with little training or oversight.

In our research, we don’t make any determination of whether specific killings by police were justified or not.

In our view, too often the question of legal justification takes a very narrow look at the few seconds just prior to a lethal interaction. We believe that a wider perspective is useful: Local, state and federal rules and training influence the behavior of police agencies across the country. When policing strategies are overly aggressive, an increase in civilian casualties tends to follow. While the resulting killings are often called “justified,” they’re more often the avoidable result of policy decisions made well before the incident in question.

Pritzker Administration Announces Two Funding Opportunities for Projects to Improve Water Quality Illinois Environmental Protection Agency Director John J. Kim recently announced two grant opportunities with up to $9.5 million in funding for projects that will improve water quality in Illinois.

The first grant, Green Infrastructure Grant Opportunities (GIGO), is made possible by Governor Pritzker’s bipartisan Rebuild Illinois capital plan, the first plan in nearly a decade, and will provide up to $5 million in funding annually.

Applications are also being accepted for the existing Section 319 Nonpoint Source Pollution Control Financial Assistance Program, which will award up to $4.5 million in funding.

Notices of Funding Opportunities have been posted for both programs. Applicants are required to pre-qualify through the Grant Accountability and Transparency Act Grantee Portal.

“Through these two programs, [the] Illinois EPA is able to target stormwater and non-point source pollution, both of which have serious impacts on Illinois waterways and groundwater,” said Director Kim. “We are excited to offer the new Green Infrastructure Grant Opportunities Program and the long-running Section 319 Program to improve Illinois’ water resources throughout the State.”

The new Green Infrastructure Grant Opportunities (GIGO) Program, is funded through Governor Pritzker’s Rebuild Illinois Capital Plan.

The Agency is seeking proposals for projects to construct green infrastructure best management practices (BMPs) that prevent, eliminate, or reduce water quality impairments by decreasing stormwater runoff into Illinois’ rivers,

streams, and lakes. Projects that implement treatment trains (multiple BMPs in series) and/ or multiple BMPs within the same watershed may be more effective and efficient than a single large green infrastructure BMP. Applications for the Green Infrastructure Grant Opportunities Program are due by close of business on Friday, August 21, 2020. He says that while he definitely won’t refuse a big check, he’d prefer to have hundreds of thousands of people make small donations in the hopes that it will encourage dialogue about the importance of Black youth learning Computer Science.

A Gen Z’er himself, Brock believes that if his Black peers study computer science on a large enough scale, then it would change the economy of the entire Black community in America, while closing the gap not only on the digital divide, but more importantly, on economic inequality. Who knows, the next Black billionaire may just be $1 away.

The New Nerd Virtual Summer Camp is an 8-week program that combines computer programming and personal development for 5th - 9th graders. The hybrid online class introduces JavaScript through Code with Google’s Grasshopper Application. To increase maximum engagement, Brock blends popular

music to add into the fun. It’s definitely not your typical classroom!

Brock is certain that personal development strategies are a critical tool to support students, especially when they encounter roadblocks. He believes that once they learn life strategies, they will apply them in their daily lives just as he has done for the past eleven years.

This is especially true for Black youth in Chicago this summer, who continually face threats from escalating violence and murders, historic racial unrest, and surging COVID-19 concerns. Participating in this virtual class and gaining life skills can keep youth out of harm’s way and take their minds off the chaos.

Brock is no stranger to leading a group of students virtually. For the past 15 weeks he has coached and mentored youth from 19 different states across America. The COVID-19 pandemic gave rise to a different kind of distance learning through Brock’s unique NEW NERD CS + Personal Development Mini Boot Camp and Friday Speaker Series.

He has created a direct digital pipeline for students to access computer programming/ coding at a comfortable pace, in a cool environment with a coach that they can vibe with live daily.

Gaining self-confidence, learning to over-

come adversity and developing goal setting skills are key program outcomes. Brock’s work in technology finds its origins in Dream Hustle Code, the nonprofit organization he co-founded to bring access to computer science education to youth from communities underrepresented in tech.

Brock will continue featuring a Friday Speaker Series highlighting leaders from different industries who will share their stories of success and failure.

Past guests have included R. Donahue Peebles (America’s most successful Black Real Estate Developer), Chris Bosh (2x NBA Champion, Olympic Gold Medalist), Daraiha Greene (Google Global Head of Strategic Partnerships, Inclusion), and Jeff Hoffman (Priceline.com Co-Founder) among others.

Brock is lining up an impressive list of upcoming speakers, but he’s keeping the names under wraps.

At 15, Brock has built an impressive resume of his own. Twice invited to Google, he has spoken at their HQ in Mountain View and Los Angeles where he was the only teen speaker.

Before 15,000 screaming students at a WE Day Chicago event, he took to the stage, unleashing his inner Tech Rock Star while advocating for increased computer science education.

His story has been featured in Forbes, Black Enterprise, Education Week, Travel Noire, and onstage live at the BET Awards.

Brock’s vision and confidence enabled him to gain the support of millionaire entrepreneurs and multi-billion dollar corporations to carry out his ambitious idea to take a group of kids from Chicago and Racine WI, to Silicon Valley “to gain a bigger vision for their future.” For his book on success for kids, he has interviewed an inspiring list of 49 individuals from Hollywood to Venture Capital.

Brock believes that the great digital divide in America can be closed. He dreams of a day when racial, education and economic inequality will become a thing of the past. His belief is that Black youth must first gain essential skills to play a meaningful role in shaping America’s future.

He says that God blessed him with gifts and opportunities that made it possible for him to be in the tech game. Ian Michael Brock believes that it’s his responsibility to make sure he opens the door for millions to follow.

Drive-in movie offers moviegoers safe alternative

While COVID-19 caused indoor movie theaters to close their doors, people have rediscovered drive-in movie theaters. Percy Scott, of 360 Global Marketing, has created PR Pop-Ups, a mobile drive-in theater experience to fill the void felt by moviegoers who love film, but still want to practice social distancing.

Scott said he and his partner, Rita Lee, were talking about COVID-19 and they were frustrated because they were not able to go anywhere or do anything because of the stay-at-home orders due to the pandemic.

“We were wishing there was somewhere to go, something to do that was safe, but people could still go out and have that community feel,” Scott said.

Lee brought up the idea of a drive-in and Scott was excited about the prospect. Scott said he started putting things together. He said he knew a drive-in was a safe idea. In the meantime, McHenry had opened a drive-in at 50 percent capacity.

“It showed proof of concept that it could be done, as the state was

allowing it to happen,” he said. “So, we were looking like do we want to go all the way out to McHenry or do we want to do something close to our own neighborhood.”

Scott said they decided to do something in their own community, so he reached out to the Mayor of Harvey and his chief of staff.

“We wanted to do something in the city of Harvey because of the stigma of how bad it is. We wanted to show if something’s done right,

that people would come, people would have a good time and it would be safe,” he said. “And, we knew if we could do it in Harvey, we could do it anywhere.”

Scott said the turn-around time from discussion to implementation and marketing was pretty quick. He said it was discussed on a Friday morning and by 9 a.m. on Saturday, the social media post that went out at 11:50 p.m. the day before, had reached more than 300,000 people www.citizennewspapergroup.com

and it had been shared 3,500 times.

The first drive-in movie was in May, around Mother’s Day. Scott said he was grateful to Harvey’s Mayor Christopher Clark, and the city of Harvey to being receptive to bringing the drive-in to the community. He said without Clark’s ability to see the vision and allowing them to come into the city, it wouldn’t have taken off the way it did.

“The first weekend was sold out, we had a great time. There were no incidents,” he said. “We had super security and we made sure our staff was super friendly. The people that came not only came from the city of Harvey, but they came from all over the state. We had people from Bensenville, and Highland, in Indiana.”

Scott said he knew they had something. Then, the Mayor of Hazel Crest called to ask if they could bring the drive-in there.

“We took it to Hazel crest and our first weekend, we did ‘Purple Rain.’

We actually had to turn people away. Its been a success for us. We’re excited to be able to help the community,” he said.

Scott said Harvey residents were

able to attend the drive-in for free.

In Hazel Crest, residents get a discount on the movies. The cost is $25 per car for one movie, or $40 for the double feature. The movies begin at dusk.

Scott said people who come to the drive-in have become regulars and have brought other people with them. He said the community support has been tremendous. And, there have even been two wedding proposals before the movies started.

“It’s really been a community event. We really appreciate the people that have been supporting us,” he added. “We’re here, we’re not going anywhere,” he said, adding, “As long as COVID is out,” they’ll do their best to ensure people have quality entertainment that’s safe and secure.

PR Pop-Ups also will host a series of concerts, titled Headlights: A Live Drive-In Concert Experience.

100 poets write about Chicago gun violence in new book One of poetry’s most important powers is its ability to personalize the impersonal, according to Chris Green, a senior professional lecturer of English at DePaul University.

Green hoped to give a human voice to the statistics of gun violence in Chicago and reached out to a diverse group of writers, from famous poets to aspiring ones, to the teens directly impacted by the city’s gun violence, with the goal of collectively writing a single poem.

Their collaborative effort, titled “American Gun: A Poem by 100 Chicagoans” and published by Big Shoulders Books is now available as a free e-book at https://bigshouldersbooks. com/americangun. Big Shoulders Books is a unique press in DePaul’s English Department, with a mission to give voice to issues and communities in Chicago that might not normally have a voice.

The books are then given away for free. Big Shoulders Books is supported by the generosity of Bill and Irene Beck, the latter a former adjunct faculty member in DePaul’s Women and Gender Studies Department.

Chris Watkins, a second-year graduate student at DePaul studying English, contributed to the project because he sensed its importance. “Writing is mostly a solitary habit, but the act of 100 poets coming together and agreeing to say something cohesive about the problem of guns in our city — that’s powerful

Poetry style highlights repetitive nature of gun violence Poetry, according to Green, is a powerful medium to use to respond to social issues.

He founded the poetry collective, the Poetic Justice League, to respond to different social issues through poetry. While working with groups of four poets around the country who were writing pantoums about gun violence in general, he realized it would be an apt project for Chicago in particular.

“The pantoum form, even though it’s not meant for a group, allows for a kind of chorus to sing together,” he said. In a pantoum, the second and fourth lines from each four-line stanza are repeated as the first and third lines in the next stanza, so when written by a group, each poet adds two original lines to each stanza. Below are two sequential stanzas that model the form: 10. To be separate from the list, living

means we must keep them alive by revisiting their names, places, dates, ages like tombstones filed into a field of memory.

“Every line in a pantoum repeating twice mirrors the repetitive violence in the city, and gives the poem a feeling similar to the idea of semiautomatic gun fire,” said Green, the editor of the book.

In addition to McCarthy and Funk, other contributors include writers Haki R. Madhubuti, author of the poetry collection, “Don’t Cry, Scream”; Ed Roberson, author of the poetry collection “To See the Earth Before the End of the World”; and Ed Hirsh, author of

the book of poems “The Living Fire: New and Selected Poems.”

Young poets provide necessary perspectives Green planned the poem so young poets from the city’s South and West Sides would write the last quarter of the poem to give them the final word. He also wanted to represent in particular, some students from Chicago’s alternative high schools, who experience the most gun violence in the city.

The last eight stanzas are written by these students.

Watkins was particularly moved by the stanzas written by the student poets. “No other poets in the poem come close to the level of poignancy and beauty of language in the face of gun violence,” he said.

For Green, the final product is evidence of the role poetry can have in conversations around important societal issues. “I hope that readers can see that it takes a community to care about issues like gun violence, and care enough to make a mountain of a poem.

I hope they see that there is still a place for poetry and art to address important issues,” he said.

United Airlines Strengthens Onboard Mask Policy to Further Protect Passengers and Employees Against COVID-19 Spread United Airlines has announced that, along with other Airlines for America (A4A) members, it will strengthen mandatory mask policies to further mitigate against the spread of COVID-19.

While the overwhelming majority of passengers are complying with United’s mandatory policy, now, any passenger that does not comply when onboard a United flight will be placed on an internal travel restriction list.

Customers on this list will lose their travel privileges on United for a duration of time to be determined pending a comprehensive incident review.

United currently requires all passengers to wear a face covering onboard its flights and the only exceptions to this policy are individuals who have a medical condition or a disability that prevents them from wearing a face covering, those who cannot put on or remove a face covering themselves and small children.

Customers are expected to wear a

mask for the duration of the flight, except when eating or drinking.

“Every reputable heath institution says wearing a mask is one of the most effective things people can do to protect others from contracting COVID-19, especially in places like an aircraft where social distancing is a challenge,” said United’s Chief Customer Officer, Toby Enqvist.

“We have been requiring our customers to wear masks onboard United aircraft since May 4 and we have been pleased that the overwhelming majority of passengers readily comply with our policy.

Today’s announcement is an unmistakable signal that we’re prepared to take serious steps, if necessary, to protect our customers and crew.”

Under this new policy, if a flight attendant notices or is informed of a customer onboard who is not wearing a face covering and that passenger does not fall within an exception, the flight attendant will proactively inform the customer that for the health and safety of everyone, face coverings are man-

datory for all customers and crew on board. They will also offer to provide the customer with a mask if needed. If the customer continues to be non-compliant, flight attendants will do their best to de-escalate the situation, again, inform the customer of United’s policy, and provide the passenger with an In-Flight Mask policy reminder card. If a customer continues to not comply, the flight attendant will file a report of the incident, which will initiate a formal review process.

Any final decision or actions regarding a customer’s future flight benefits will not occur onboard, but instead take place after the flight has reached its destination and the security team has investigated the incident.

“U.S. airlines are very serious about requiring face coverings on their flights. Carriers are stepping up enforcement of face coverings and implementing substantial consequences for those who do not comply with the rules,” said A4A President and CEO Nicholas www.citizennewspapergroup.com

“Face coverings are one of several public health measures recommended by the CDC as an important layer of protection for passengers and customer-facing employees.”

In April, United became the first major U.S.-based airline to require flight attendants to wear a face mask while on duty, and beginning in May, expanded that mandate to include all employees and customers on board. This includes front-line workers like pilots, customer service agents and ramp workers when on board an aircraft, along with any other United employees traveling using their flight benefits.

“Wearing a mask is a critical part of helping make air travel safer,” said Dr. James Merlino, chief clinical transformational officer at Cleveland Clinic. “The more people in a given space wearing masks, the fewer viral particles are making it into the space around them, decreasing exposure and risk.

The airline’s mask policy is

an important part of the United CleanPlus program, which brings together Clorox - and the country’s top medical experts - Cleveland Clinic - to inform and guide United’s new cleaning, safety and social distancing protocols. As part of this program, United is taking a layered approach to help protect passengers and employees on board. In addition to requiring masks, United Airlines planes have HEPA grade filters that recirculate air every 2-3 minutes, and the airline is using electrostatic sprayers to disinfect the cabin before flights.

In addition to the onboard actions, United has implemented dozens of other new procedures at other points in the travel journey, including offering touchless check-in for baggage at more than 200 locations, asking customers to complete a health assessment at check-in, installing sneeze guards and adjusting the boarding process.

NEWS UIC named Illinois’ best college for LGBTQ students UIC has been named Illinois’ best college and university for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students, according to the 2020 edition of rankings from BestColleges, in partnership with Campus Pride.

“The Best Colleges for LGBTQ+ Students” ranking recognizes U.S. schools that have “established the highest standards for inclusive environments while maintaining strong academic programs for students.”

The state-focused ranking, where UIC landed the top spot for Illinois,

serves as a guide for prospective LGBTQ students to identify schools that are culturally inclusive, affordable and closer in proximity to their geographic location. UIC rates highly for its institutional commitment to LGBTQ-inclusive policy, program and practice according to the Campus Pride Index, where it earned 4.5 out of five stars. The university received full marks in LGBTQ recruitment and retention efforts, housing and residence life, and student life.

As temperatures heat up, Conservation Police Officers are reminding boat operators to Keep Drinks Dry on the Water The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) Conservation Police Officers are reminding boat operators to always drive sober while on the water.

“When we talk about drunk driving, most people immediately associate it with getting behind the wheel of a car, but they should remember the same problems occur when boat operators drive drunk,” said Lt. Curt Lewis, boating law administrator, Illinois Conservation Police. “Just like a car or truck, boats are large, heavy machinery

that become extremely dangerous to operate when you’re under the influence.

Already this year, Conservation Police Officers have made 17 arrests for operating under the influence – 10 in June alone. Last year, Conservation Police Officers made 103 arrests for boaters operating under the influence (OUI). Additionally, Conservation Police Officers in 2019 issued 725 citations and 2,623 warnings in enforcement of Illinois boating safety laws.

And while the internet can be an amazing gateway to knowledge and a tool to connect with family and friends, if parents and caregivers don’t follow certain precautions, it can also pose safety hazards.

Teaching Children The Power Of Their Thoughts And Emotions Children as young as three years old are constructing essential thoughts and feelings about their parents, friends, and life, and acting based on their moods.

By learning how to use their thoughts and feelings productively, children can gain control over their emotions—like anger or sadness—and turn them around so they have more positive, peaceful days.

Parents, teachers, and caregivers can help in this process by guiding children on how to focus on their strengths.

Through #StrongKids—co-authored by media veteran and human behavioral consultant Jennifer Keitt and her daughter, news reporter Naomi Keitt—parents and their children can create camaraderie versus a combative relationship.

This book helps children ages 3-6 learn the social and emotional skills involved in understanding their thoughts and feelings. #StrongKids seems to help children take back their power in order to “turn things around” when their thoughts bring them down.

COMMENTARY: Counseling Helps in Adapting to a New Norm

The sudden call to think extremely out of the norm took nearly the entire population of the world out of their comfort zone. Many took the stance of a sincere awareness, but some were so distanced from it that there was little change in pattern.

They checked in occasionally via the common news cycle and casually mentioned it during the water cooler talk. When another person commented on how much more serious this monster was to the very commonalities of our lives, they were dismissed as being an extremist.

Now that the United States is fully immersed into this crisis state-of-life, the full impact of COVID-19 has crossed the minds of millions. Even the most casual of conversations has at least one person who is warning the others to take it seriously. And while the news cycles are focusing on simply protecting and sustaining life, there are also millions of people quarantined who are suffering silently trying to cooperate just to stay alive. Through this cooperation, the very strings which hold them together are slowly being severed without anyone realizing how long the after

effect of this trauma will last.

People who were struggling with depression pre-COVID-19 or now battling with depression to maintain composure in the home. The anxiety levels that were creating waves from people who were already overthinking every aspect of their lives, now has a big bad monster to fold into every layer of their anxiety that is shattering their learned coping skills. There are so many variables of mental health that are juggled each and every day by millions and all of this is further magnified by the constantly changing unknowns we are harnessed with daily.

The reality is, many need, and will need for years following, mental health treatment to overcome the threats and dangers experienced during the first quarter of 2020. A year that promised so much for so many. A new decade touting hopes of financial security, achieved goals, hearty relationships, and monumental gains. A year that showed us in a span of less than 90 days that we can control very little outside of our response to experiences. That response is what dictates how people move through challenging and critical times. Positive responses are full of optimism and hope with an understanding that challenges are

but a bar to jump over even if it is incrementally raised to challenge us.

Other people have negative responses which cast a shadow even when every effort is made to forge ahead and not fall short. And just like there are three sides to every story: person one, person two, and the truth, so it is with perspectives on experiences. Some people will have a combination of positive and negative responses to situations over the cycle of the experience. The call to action of mental health professionals all over the world is being sorely highlighted even though they are ready to answer the call of duty. And the most amazing aspect of their willingness to answer this call, is the safety at which they can provide the services.

Virtual counseling has been on a steady rise for the last five years but actually started in the late 80’s. And here we are, 180 days into 2020, and the data streams are bursting at the seams because nearly every sector of business is operating virtually; entire school systems, media (journalists are broadcasting from their homes), banking, and even mental health services. And clinicians all over the world are working diligently to help people adjust to talking about their most intimate thoughts www.citizennewspapergroup.com

and feelings via a video camera to a person they may or may not have met before COVID-19 set into the fabric of the psyches of millions.

There are three factors to consider when scheduling counseling services: Convenience, Accessibility, and Professionalism. It is likely, after the stay in place is fully lifted, thousands of more people will remain in the virtual counseling realm once they realize how accessible, convenient, and professional it is.

The convenience factor is a given without any detailed explanation.

Being able to go into a private room and talk with your counselor with little effort is one of the most favorable aspects of virtual counseling.

The primary factor to consider is that the room is private. While it is not required that you have a perfect space for the session, it does need to be private. The next factor to consider is accessibility. You can get on most virtual platforms for counseling via your smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop. If you can video communicate with friends, family, and coworkers via facetime, messenger, duo or other video platforms, you can log into a secure platform with a licensed counselor to participate in a counseling session.

The final factor is to ensure

you are scheduled with a licensed clinician. Just as with other industries, there are people who will work without the proper training. There are those in the counseling field who love to help people, yet they do not have the formal training and formal oversight to conduct professional counseling and therapy sessions.

Do your research and ask questions to ensure you are working with a licensed or provisionally licensed (in training) clinician. There are daily mental health challenges even without the presence of such a formidable virus that people encounter.

Embrace the resources available to you through tele mental health counseling just as you have embraced it in other industries. More people are shopping online. More people are purchasing their groceries online. More people are using delivery services. More people are using drive through banking. More people are watching concerts online.

More, more, more. Professional counseling is more available to you now, as well. Embrace and watch how much of a positive.
