Chance The Rapper is shown performing in 2014. He among several other artists are scheduled to perform during the 2017 Essence Festival. Friday’s starting lineup at the festival will include: Diana Ross, John Legend, India Arie, PJ Morton and Kelly Price. The following night, there will be a special performance by Chaka Chan, and Jill Scott along with Monica will lead the way and set the crowd up for new artists such as Teyana Taylor and Jhene Aiko.
