Construction, Structure & Materials Glass Glass is used in construction to allow penetration of skylight and illuminate the spaces. Natural lighting reduces eye strain and makes it easier for people to see. Therefore, it plays an important role in creating a comfortable study environment for the uni students.

Steel Steel is used as a structural frame to hold the glass load. For instance, a glass house is built as the entrance to the basement level. Steel framework are used to carry the glass and building load.

Design philosophy • A place with a new living and active platform for University life creating an interactive and integrated campus building bringing together the multitude of function required to provide highest quality of student service.

Design concept • To create an exciting and high quality new typology of accommodation with an iconic identity and an open connected and collegiate atmosphere.

Year: 2015 Gross floor area : 8100 sqm

• By recognizing the needs at urban lite, Levels 1&2 provide a strong vibrant and active student hub, with the more private corporate structure on upper levels providing flexible and high quality innovation workplaces.

Design philosophy

IBA STUDENT CENTRE, PAKISTAN.

• The IBA Student Center is a student relaxation space project. The planning of the projects plays a role to encourage a sense of community among the student.

Design concept • To encourage a sense of community, the central atrium designed as an interactive sitting area for social interaction. • A Youthful interior with a combination of natural materials and exquisite detailing with illuminated natural light and views into intimate landscaped areas, more like personal spaces within a communal setting.

Architect: Najmi Bilgrami Collaborative Area: 3159 sqm
