The final semester required students to proposed a Varsity Hub at IUKL campus, Kajang, Selangor. The portfolio consists of the final outcomes, site analysis and also the design development throughout the process. The Varsity Hub is inspired by the concept of Protagonist. Each block of the hub is designed based on the five stages of plot which is exposition, rising, climax, falling and denouement.
The protagonist is at the centre of the story, making the key decisions and experiences the consequences of those decisions. It is essential for student to put themselves forward as protagonists. Introducing a sense of flexible thinking, inventiveness and openness to failure. The hub was intended to inviting an exploration of learning and evoke one’s curiosity. The students act as a role model while the building itself plays a flow of plots. Students are trained to be a humble listener, inventive designers, self-doubters, good collaborators and outrageous self –publicists.
