CHEZ NOUS IS FRENCH FOR OUR HOME The Sisters of St. Ursula founded Notre Dame School in 1912 when they came to New York from France. The school began in their home and became known as Chez Nous, an affectionate way to refer to the place that has been a second home to generations of young women.

You may travel outside the box to The Pearl Theatre, Museum of Natural History, Poet’s House, Google Headquarters, Museum of Math, or right down the block to the Whitney Museum of American Art. It’s a dream location with easy access to multiple bus and subway lines. Our students come from Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, Long Island, Westchester and New Jersey.
