WELCOME

to the July to December What’s On Guide 2025

I’m a Cheltenham girl back in her hometown, and what a privilege it is. I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining The Cheltenham Trust at what feels like a powerful inflection point, one where creativity, community, and purpose come together to shape a bold new direction for our venues. As we move forward, our commitment is clear: to centre joy and wellbeing in everything we do, and to ensure our cultural spaces feel welcoming, exciting, and relevant to everyone in Cheltenham.

This season’s programme beautifully embodies that spirit. At The Wilson, we’re delighted to follow the joyful summer season of Play Ground with Material Worlds, opening on 19 September. The team are producing extraordinary, worldclass exhibitions right here in Cheltenham that provoke, challenge, and connect. I’m so proud of the ambition and artistry shaping The Wilson’s future.

That sense of awe continues at Cheltenham Town Hall, where I’ll be front row for Tim Peake as he shares stories from space, an unforgettable night for all ages. And I’ll definitely be back for The Music of The Lord of the Rings, a personal favourite that promises to bring Middle-earth to life in soaring orchestration.

One of the things I’m most proud of this season is our phenomenal line-up of female comedians. It genuinely feels like a breakthrough year. From the outrageous Scummy Mummies to the sharp brilliance of Sandi Toksvig, Georgie Carroll, Sara Pascoe, and Jen Brister, it’s laughter, insight, and connection all rolled into one.

Watch this space too for some exciting updates about Pittville Pump Room.

And finally, as a gym lover myself, I hope to meet some of you in our refurbished gym.

We can’t wait to welcome you. Whether it’s discovery, joy, fitness or inspiration you’re after, there’s a place for you here.
