WELCOME to the January to June What’s On Guide 2025

WELCOME to The Cheltenham Trust’s What’s On guide for January to June 2025 which highlights the exciting schedule of events at Cheltenham Town Hall, Pittville Pump Room, The Wilson Art Gallery and Museum and Leisure at Cheltenham.

Whether it’s music, entertainment, comedy, exhibitions and workshops, children’s sports fun or community events, The Cheltenham Trust offers something for everyone to enjoy.

A new feature for 2025 is the trust’s Live and Local gigs, celebrating and showcasing the wealth of local new and emerging musical talent, giving local bands, musicians and acts the opportunity to perform on stage at Cheltenham Town Hall, and bringing live music to audiences.

Comedy is a popular feature at the town hall and there’s another strong line-up this season with Andy Zaltzman, Jimmy Carr, Chris McCausland, Maisie Adam, Jason Manford, Ben Elton, Robert Beckett, Dara O’Briain, Rhod Gilbert and Danny Baker. There’s also the popular monthly comedy club nights at Pittville Pump Room to enjoy.

The season’s spoken word events include ultra endurance athlete Sean Conway; chef, restauranteur, TV presenter and well-known Cornishman Rick Stein, and The Makings of A Murderer 2 with grim insights into some of the UK’s most chilling murders.

There’s music for all tastes from Northern Soul to Status Quo legend Francis Rossi, Jason Donovan, Martin Kemp, Tony Blackburn to Lee Memphis King, Haircut 100 and The Drifters. And for the dance fans, professional dancers Gorka Marquez and Karen Hauer from BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing bring their new show, Speakeasy.

Classic lovers are in for a treat too with concerts by the English Symphony Orchestra, German National Orchestra, and the Bristol Classical Players.

Jimmy Carr: Laughs Funny Saturday 18 January 2025, 7pm and 9.30pm Comedian Jimmy Carr is a popular name at Cheltenham Town Hall performing sell out shows. Haircut 100 Sunday 18 May 2025, 7.30pm Haircut 100’s debut album Pelican West was released in February 1982. Booking Information ETickets We no longer provide printed tickets. This will help us to reduce our environmental impact and become more sustainable. Tickets are sent directly to your inbox when you make your booking online. E-tickets can also be purchased on the door on the night of the show, depending on availability, payment is by card only.

You can show your e-tickets on your mobile phone, or tablet, when you arrive at the venue for your event, where they will be scanned. If you wish to print your tickets at home, you can select this option when making your booking online.

There is a Pay and Display car park at Pittville Pump Room and there are several public car parks within walking distance of Cheltenham Town Hall.

In Person ticket bookings are available via the customer contact kiosk at Leisure at Cheltenham.

Monday to Friday, 10am to 5.30pm There is a transaction fee of £2.50 per booking when buying online or over the phone. Some events listed in this brochure with a bold title may be subject to a £2 ticket commission fee included in the price of the ticket.

Tickets cannot be collected in person on the day of an event, but can be booked online as etickets/ print at home. Tickets can also be posted to you for a fee.

Disabled bookings If you are disabled and/or require a carer to accompany you to an event, please advise customer services at the time of booking.

Concessions are available at some events to disabled customers, and complimentary tickets for personal assistants. If you need help with transport or parking, please tell us – if we cannot help, we may be able to put you in touch with someone who can.

The town hall is one of the first in Cheltenham to introduce the Ask for Angela scheme, where anyone feeling they are in potential danger or in an uncomfortable situation can discreetly alert staff that they need help by asking for Angela, a fictious member of staff.

Terms and conditions Tickets cannot be exchanged nor money refunded, except in the case of a cancelled event.

We reserve the right to change artists or programmes as necessary.

Latecomers will only be admitted into the auditorium at a convenient break in the performance.
