Spanning the whole autumn term, our Festival kicks off in September with online workshops, followed by the LIVE Festival 8–17 October and a digital post-Festival programme of event highlights, free on demand until 31 December. During the LIVE Festival we look forward to welcoming schools to our Festival Village on Montpellier Gardens where the theme is Read the World. Literature For Schools Digital Offer We will be offering schools the opportunity to enjoy highlights from our Festival programme online, for free, after the Festival. Look out for more information in the Autumn term. 19
HOW TO BOOK How do I book tickets? Go to cheltenhamfestivals.com/literature-for-schools and complete the booking form. Booking opens 8am on Monday 21 June 2021. Please note that a £5 booking fee will be applied to each booking. COVID guarantee: Book with confidence knowing that if there is a case of COVID in the class that is visiting the Festival and you have to cancel your booking we will offer a full refund to your school. Terms and conditions apply.
Is there a bookable lunch space? We offer 30 minute lunch slots in our covered picnic area in the Festival Village for a limited number of schools. Please request a reservation on your booking form and we will aim to accommodate as many groups as we can.
What happens next? 1. We will review your booking form and be in touch to discuss alternative options if any of your choices are not available. 2. You will receive a formal booking confirmation via email. Further details will be sent for Webinar bookings. 3. For free bookable events, we will accommodate as many groups as we can. Please note that places are limited and will be allocated as fairly as possible. 4. Please notify us of changes to your numbers as a result of fluctuations in class size by 10 September 2021 and we will do our best to accommodate them. 5. Your school finance office will receive an invoice after 10 September. It is important this invoice is paid before you attend the Festival. 6. We will be back in touch in September with your ticket document and further information about the facilities on site.

Workshop capacities are max. 32 pupils
To be eligible for a free bookable activity (see page 5), schools must book a ticketed event or workshop on the same day as the activity takes place. Tickets for teachers and other adults accompanying school groups to Events or Workshops are free.
