Man arrested after shooting Brodie Cowburn brodie@baysidenews.com.au A MAN has been arrested after an alleged shooting in Carrum Downs last month.
Police were told that a man walking along Cadles Road was approached by a person with a gun, who then fired a shot at him. The victim was not hit, but was then allegedly run into by a driver in a black Ford. The alleged incident happened just
after 8am, 16 February. On 26 February, a 29-year-old Cranbourne West man was arrested and charged with reckless conduct endangering life and intentionally cause serious injury. He was remanded into custody, and will appear at the Mel-
bourne Magistrates’ Court on 14 April. Police will allege that he was the offender who fired the shot. The victim is currently in a stable condition in hospital. Frankston Crime Investigation Unit Detective Sergeant Luke Holmes said
“we are pleased to have arrested who we believe is the shooter. We want to assure the community that there is no ongoing threat.” Police are still seeking further information. Information to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
