An innovative digital approach that combines the simplicity and speed of a smoke probe with the quality of a 3D-measurement scan has launched in the US. ProCap from Swiss manufacturer streamwise, provides real-time visualization of a 3D velocity vector and its interpolation to a complete flow field, providing instantaneous understanding of the quality of aerodynamic measurements. Simply by guiding the probe in the flow region of interest, its position is precisely tracked with a camera system, the measured data is interpolated and the flow field is instantaneously visualized to the user. Essentially an intuitive scan-and-paint approach of the flow in real-time. This exciting system includes a calibrated digital multi-hole probe with markers, tracking camera and software, and a laptop with ProCap software pre-installed. Alongside the system, a service & support package is available from USA channel partner, Evolution Measurement.

Gear Actuator With Integrated Valves Compact and powerful air gear actuator with integrated valves for almost all sequential gearboxes. Features world’s fastest hypervelocity valve that we have specifically designed for this actuator. Multiple diameters (powers) available. Plug & play options for many gearboxes including, but not limited to Quaife, Tractive, Porsche, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Yaris GR, Samsonas and other.

Evolution Measurement, in addition to the US, manages UK and Northern Europe customer enquiries for the ProCap product range which includes ProCap Compact and Professional. Andrin Landolt, Partner at streamwise said, “We are incredibly excited at this new venture. The team at Evolution Measurement are wholly solution focused and our products complements their existing range of aerodynamic measurement solutions.”

Gear Control Unit 8 Small and fast gear control unit (GCU) to control everything from flatshift to full paddle shift. Unit comes in 3 different options: low cost LITE version for closed-loop sequential flatshift and throttle blip (drive by wire is supported), RACE with added 3D control tables for almost all parameters + logging and PRO for full paddle shift control. Comes with free software.

Evolution Measurement’s Managing Director, Paul Crowhurst said, “We are thrilled to bring ProCap to our customers as it will add enormous value for our existing aerodynamic measurement solutions customers. The ProCap system merges data streams from position tracking and flow field measurements, essentially helping aerodynamicists to maximise their time in the wind tunnel. Combining the ProCap system with our pressure scanners and custom flow probe range, we are able to provide a fully customisable aerodynamic solution which complements our wide and world-class range of fluid dynamic instruments and systems.” See ProCap at the PRI show on Booth #509 or visit EvolutionMeasurement.com for more information. Over Rev Protection Never over-rev your engine again. ORP will block your gear lever mechanically if downshift would result in an engine over-revving, while always allowing up-shift. Push (in front of the gear lever) and pull (behind the gear lever) lockouts available. Can also be mounted directly to the gearbox. Unit is fully electric and has low power consumption. Can be used as a standalone protection unit over CAN BUS or externally controlled by your ECU/GCU.

GST Racing Seals has over 35 years of experience in sealing, including nearly 25 years devoted to global motorsports, high performance road and off-road vehicles. PLS SEALS Benefitting from >30 years of development & evolution our PLS Seals have proved to be excellent problem-solvers in many industries. Running with 50%-90% lower friction than most other seals, depending on the application, the PLS Seal typically offers good performance & proven reliability in all applications from Engine & Drivetrain through to Wheel Hubs & Axles. These seals are all custom-designed to suit the needs of each application ensuring long life & leak-free operation. Customer experience also shows much reduced shaft wear meaning that durability is substantially improved & time between rebuild is increased thus reducing those rebuild costs.

HD2 SEALS Our HD2 Seal Is a very efficient Bi-Directional Hydrodynamic Seal which has been used to overcome reliability problems experienced in other seals & particularly in Transmissions. Our seal design is similar to the normal rubber seals & the refinement is in the local design details for the innermost areas of the lips where we add moulded protrusions (aids) close to the contact zone. The pumping effect of the “aids” generates a thicker-than-normal oil film in the contact zone under the lip reducing rubbing friction & cooling the lip/shaft interface. The pumping effect of the “aids” generates a thicker-than-normal oil film in the contact zone under the lip reducing rubbing friction & cooling the lip/shaft interface.

BEARING SEALS Our Bearing Seal design is built on our long & specialist experience with miniature seal sections for Automotive & other applications & providing unique designs to improve various aspects of performance. Our ability to design & manufacture these miniature seal sections along with special material developments has provided many solutions to difficult applications. We can in many cases offer the benefits of bespoke rubber compounds or the bonding of PTFE facings on the seal lip. The seals can be designed to be an integrally mounted in the special recesses within the bearing or designed to sit alongside the bearing interacting with surfaces of the bearings & housings. www.gstracing.co.uk See us at the PRI Show – Booth #4906
