Founded with a liberal arts ethos almost a century ago, this Dorset school still embraces and fosters creativity, curiosity and individuality

Bryanston’s unique culture celebrates the individual and their boundless potential. This is a community that is proud to be different. Teaching staff work alongside pupils as they guide them on their academic journey.

The school sees creativity as an essential practical element of all disciplines, and encourages expression in all artistic forms. This prioritising of the arts is what makes Bryanston a very different learning experience. At the heart of the Bryanston approach is a one-to-one, five-year relationship for every pupil with a handpicked tutor who acts as champion, mentor and enabler for their entire time at the school.

Bryanston is an open-minded, challenging and inspiring environment for personal growth where teachers provide the necessary space, encouragement and pastoral care to help pupils find their passions.

DID YOU KNOW?

The old kitchen wing of the previous Portman House on the school’s estate is home to a colony of rare greater horseshoe bats (affectionately known as ‘the Bryanston bats’ by staff and pupils). Great care has been taken over many years to avoid any disruption to the roost.
